Makhdoom Mohiuddin was born at Andol in district Medak in Hyderabad on 4th Feb, 1908. He belonged to a religious family of teachers and preachers but Makhdoom was more interested in poetry and politics than in religion. He was the leading light of the progressive writers' movement and as a mark of respect the communist party of India has raised a building called "Makhdoom Bhawan" in Hyderabad. Though Makhdoom is primarily a poet of the nazm, he has also proved his ability as a ghazal writer. In addition, he has displayed his worth in the field of prose as well. His poetical works include Surkh Saveraa, Gul-e-tar, Basaat-e-raqs (complete works). He died in Delhi on August 25, 1969

While listening this rendition for the second time in a row, I read many comments. My observation is - not even a single ordinary youtube surfer can reach, listen and comment here. All were great fans of maestro's. Kudos for a hefty rare collection. Amazed with this piece with his softness. During early years his kharaj was not that that strikingly different but his command on beats, as he himself pointed out in interviews, was apparent. I felt like moving in a peaceful swing after many years. Wah Sachin Sir. Great contribution. May God bless you.

In Bazaar, the exceptional singing of Talat Aziz, an admirer of Jagjit Singh ji and the melodious music of Khayyam Saheb was enacted brilliantly by Farooq Sheikh and Supriya Pathak. It resonated very we'll with those who listened to it watching the screen. Here the Mastero is painting the scene with his voice and classical rendition. It's a lot more difficult task. It's like when we listened to the to radio commentary of cricket and now watching it live on tv screen

ग़ज़ब का गाना simply awesome. Pure mehfil ka andaz उन्होंने एक अलग tune में भी गाया है but this is pure bliss to ears.Poetry is very substandard boss discussed with me once but the presentation makes all the difference. He is master of his art.He used same tune for इश्क़ में जी को सब्र ओं ताब कहाँ…How lucky u are, he performed in your presence. What else can one write abt his artistry…🙏

Awesome one. तुमसे मिलकर समझ मे आया, मिल गई क़ायनात फूलों की.. फूल तेरा जवाब क्या देंगे, मुख़्तसर है हयात फूलों की... रात हैं या बारात फूलों की.. ~मख़दूम मुहीउद्दीन ~जगजीत सिंह The ghazal penned by Makhdoom Mohiuddin in film Baazar(1983) composed by Khayyam saab, much before this Ghazal become famous, Jagjit ji in late 70s composed this in a mellifluous and soul taking composition, Thanks Sachin Soni bhai for this gem. Above 2 couplets sang ars not available in Rekhta as well as in original ghazal.
