By far the best band ive ever seen. 50+ shows. Since 96. Get your heels going and your mood racing. My boys been self taught guitarist for 9 yrs and at 15 is striving to be a trey/jerry/van halen. I hope this next gen has something outrageous in sight for us.

True experimentation right here. Some people don't get it and that is their problem, they are trying to figure it out rather then just letting it be what it is. These guys are amazing and the fact that they can still go to new places in their jams is a testament to how truly talented they are.
@daveleafey92833 жыл бұрын
If you keep going to the same place you’re not jamming you’re playing what’s rehearsed
@mountain99543 жыл бұрын
Are you saying that they just go to the same places?

I thought Drowned > ASIHTOS from this show was a definite highlight of the entire Baker's Dozen run. As has been mentioned, this jam gets highly experimental, they're always breaking new ground, its so impressive.

The end of this jam is some of the most inventive shit Phish has done in 20+ years.

This band is amazing. They were already great, but they will be so much better after this run than they were before it. How many bands can say that after 30+ years. When they aren't playing Tweezer all the time, and don't get me wrong, I love Tweezer, they get to experiment and explore a host of other songs. New progressions. New jams. These guys are awesome.

Jam bands are one of the few that actually get better with age. I love rap but never go to rap concerts because they suck lol same with stuff like metalica been to one you been to them all they prolly hate most of their songs

I’ve loved this one since seeing it debuted in Brooklyn. There’s many new songs that take time to grow on me, and some never do, but this one grabbed me immediately. Glad you finally got it!

What Phish just did was, and I'm sorry, greater than anything th grateful dead ever did, and listen to way more Dead than Phish. I was glued to every night, and the days off were painful, like waiting on the next episode of House of Cards! It Was Basically A Netflix Binge Watch Kinda thing. So cool, I'm sad it's over, but it will live forever thanks to their tapping kindness. Thanks boys!

Love phish, but give respect to the band that started it all....you need to check out the other one off europe 72, vol2, if you think this is more creative...i absolutely love phish but there's no comparing 40 years apart. One love

Yeah. I see what you're saying. Some of the dead PITB experimental jams sounded almost identical to parts of this. Love both of them

Out of curiosity how many Jerry shows did you go to
@SnowTheJamMan4 жыл бұрын
The Dead are my favorite band, and their Type 1 jamming is the greatest improv ever, but they could NEVER have done a 13 night run without repeating any song and having deep type 2 jams every show. Love both bands though, different, but both have everything i appreciate in music.

Which is the point. They are experimenting and taking jams further then most bands would have the balls to even attempt. While I agree this sort of playing definitely lends its self more to a live atmosphere and not a youtube video this is not something you are suppose to 'figure out'. If you are trying to 'figure it out' that is your phirst mistake. When you are their live and they are going down these streams of 'what the hell are they doing' those are the moments at least for me live I am completely mesmerized. Phish on!

My god man, how did I listen to this shit. OMG this is BAD!!! Lol
@mountain99547 жыл бұрын
Haha Says the dead head. Cause we all know the DEAD were killing it in the later years. These guys are still pushing boundaries of unexplored music. Not just 'riffing' on something and letting solos move around it. But if that is what is bad to you then to each their own. Hope you didn't give up during the 'weird' parts cause at 16:00 it was amazingly beautiful and I could only imagine quite a treat live.
@MarkH-f3f7 жыл бұрын
Its not music, is the point. Just listen or don't. I don't know. Their voices are pathetic, the improv is just horrible with moments of some sense of music. There is no "Song". It is just random and just painful to the ears man. I get it. I used to try hard too. Enjoy
@mountain99547 жыл бұрын
You're trying way to hard then man. Like the guy in the other comment said move on. You coming on here and spouting your drivel is pathetic. It is your opinion which obviously a lot of people disagree with saying how Phish sold out 13 shows at MSG and now have their own day in NYC. I am sure your band is doing amazing things though, right?
@brianeovaldi33387 жыл бұрын
Michael P you're a sad human being. If you don't like Phish then just don't visit all their videos. You're lame comments are on every video they've posted lately. Move on and get a life man.
