vtphoto1 Where was The Front? I was born and raised in Burlington, but am only 34 years old, so I was just a kid in the ‘80s. I don’t ever recall a place called “The Front”, so it must have closed before I heard about it. If I had to guess, the name suggests that maybe it was a place on the Waterfront?

@@kevinmurtagh4996 it closed a long time ago, it was on Main Street, a few blocks past Nectars on the other side of the street. It was called the Front because it was literally out front, and there was another bar in the back called The Outback.

@@kevinmurtagh4996 It was across the street from Hunt's.....Owned by a couple of people I knew back then. Burlington was a great little town back in those days.......the Chicken Bone was ground zero for a good time!

It’s where the Ski Rack is, assuming that’s still there. Main and Pine, I believe. The Front and The Outback were really the same place, but they only opened the Outback on the slow nights, with the Front reserved for Thursday-Friday-Saturday, and when they had comedy shows. I used to fill in sometimes when they were short staffed. Heady times! This was one of my favorite shows!

SO cool! Was it a bar or a music venue? I can't find any history on The Front just visited Burlington and saw The Ski Rack

This inspired me to put my hands on my VHS copy. A quick comparison I think it might be a little better. Seems to have less artifacts. None of the horizontal spike distortion on the left. I will dig a little deeper ASAP.
