I had never heard of Phish until my best friend had bought two tickets for their show on Mud Island here in Memphis back in 1995 or 1996. I was absolutely blown away by their mastering of their instruments and their incredible skill of improvising. Their improvisational journeys were pristine and it was impressive how locked into each other. I had never seen or heard anyone like them. It was in those moments that I became an avid fan of Phish. That amazement and surprise is still with me 30 years later. I feel incredibly honored that I have been able to live in the generation that has had the pleasure to experience this phenomenal band, Phish.
