This was great. Thanks for posting! The very end was beautiful, with the wide open road and the gentle fall of snow, especially with the music over the PA. It made me nostalgic for those simpler times. You go out on a cold, snowy night to hear a band that is rising to the height of their powers. They feel like a secret that no one really knows about. They're still young, hungry, overflowing with energy and desire to blow the roof off the place, because when they do it's as exciting for them as it is for us. They still had something to prove back then. We didn't have cell phones broadband or anything. When we left for the show, no one could get ahold of us. We wrote the setlist on a scrap of paper as they played. Gas was $1.19/gal. The drive back is just you and your friends coming down from that high, minds blown, tired from dancing, and loving being young, even if we can't possibly appreciate it fully, because we've known nothing else.

Azazello1482 well said my friend, well said. I couldn’t agree more. These are the Phish shows that speak loudest to me. They were a band on the rise. Trying to throw down the gauntlet each and every night to prove that THEY were the best live band out there. Indeed we felt like we were in on a secret that others were not privy to. I’ll never forget walking out into that blizzard.

Security was light at Phish shows until after Jerry died in 95 when the shows got massive and the reputation followed. My first show was in Vermont in 91. It was quite the time back then.

The camera was an 8mm small Sony camcorder and true they used to let almost anything in except for bottles/cans. Taper section also allowed bags in which anything could be smuggled or hidden. This taper, who I know walked right in with a tripod and the cam at the bottom of a backpack wrapped in a t-shirt.
