Kind of on the downlow, these guys have been the biggest band in the US since Jerry Garcia died in 95. I am overcome with emotion. Today, I had to tell a young man, only 45, that he had lung cancer that has spread throughout his body. To be overwhelmed with that grief today was difficult. The NPR has never been so loud! Glad to see they had such a great time with one of the best bands in the world. If you’re new to the band, listen to Lawnboy, Junta, and Rift. This will set you on the path to reading The Book!

Amazing Tiny Desk! Love Phish. Constructive feedback to the NPR Music team: on KZbin studio you can choose a better placement for ads. They came up in the middle of every song.

The sound quality and musicianship of this particular performance is just mind-blowing astounding. To me, this is Phish at their core and it is spine-tingling, smile brimming and tear inducing. THIS so fully encapsulates how and why Phish is “Phish”. MAJOR Kudos to the crew at NPR that made this happen, shot, recorded, produced and mixed it. Just magnificent. You really captured and presented the guys at their best! THANK YOU!

It is absolutely criminal not to wear headphones or have this through a good stereo! You have to hear everything blend together! Good job NPR on the sound,as usual! Thank you NPR for the next dose of tiny desk music! I forgot just how good Phish was!! I got them mixed up with all my hippie friends sleeping on my couch! 😁🩵🕺🌎

Thanks for this. I'm going to remind myself to put this on during my tomorrow morning jog with headphones on to enjoy it again. That YEM was freaking awesome!!!
