Pretty sure I was next to this dude at a show, he sets up a mannequin on a tripod with a beanie and has a giant hiking backpack he carries it in. He busted it out next to me as soon as the house lights went out, and Im saying to myself, you have got to be kidding me, dude looked like he was tripping too, and I had to dance, stoned AF next to a creepy mannequin with a wig and beanie, but man do I appreciate being able to see these shows from 97 like this.

Such a great tour...this show pumps !! I remember it being so fucking cold when we got out. I saw a girl in a skirt and the shirt and I was like.."what are you doing?"..so we hooked her up with a pair of plaid fleece pants my friend Becky made. She was stoked. Fond fond memories of this tour.

Cleveland was general admission And I was tripping balls and ran into some other friends they dragged me all the way up front right in front of Page and it was so wild. What a GREAT tour this was! IF I could go back in time, I think i would have done this one over again! It was a thick and funky time of change. Lots of Mike and spacey jams that were just as heavy as it gets! The following fall wasn't bad either - especially Cleveland with the one and only TRUE MLB Jam! :)

Seems to me this era of phish featured great interplay and really showcased Page. Sometimes my complaint with Phish's music is that Trey dominates too much of the action & Page does not push out to the forefront enough, perhaps it is his mellow personality. I get it, it's Trey's band, but I always felt the band is best when Mike and Page are doing their thing as equal contributors.

I worked on STS9 crew from 2000-2004..we d toss anyone who had a recorder unless they were family or knew the band well enough..thats like 5 people..i know Phish crew would do the same!
