My first Phish show ever man-I doubt I will top this experience reminded me of my first Dead show in 1985-July 13th Ventura Fairgrounds.That opener was awesome I hadn't heard that tune yet-Phish is excellent and worth every penny to see live.

79steelymatt Saint0fCircumstance This was your 1st show? Man, you picked a good 1st show! Haha! Excellent set list. And its good you got to see them in an arena, their indoor shows are more immersive and intense for the viewer. I always feel a bit of a disconnect when i see them in outdoor venues.

Iron Charioteer Yah I just recently got into them last year -I really like them a lot they are excellent musicians and they have great chemistry-I don't know why I had a block on them all these years after Jerry died I kinda lost interest in jam bands.But a dude with a You Tube channel named FZappa20 who loves Phish got me interested in them by his passion for them and in the last year I have gotten over 30 CD's of them now and a friend of mine gave me his tape collection of them after he was going to throw them out

Iron Charioteer Yeah kinda same story as matt for me...A coworker got me into the dead in 2004 ( I'm 31 now) Saw The Dead with Warren, seen Ratdog 7-8 times, Furthur, Bob solo stuff, Mickey Hart Band, but never really gave Phish a chance until I started playing bass again a few years ago and met a guy named Artie who was a bartender at Sail Inn in Tempe, Az.. home of awesome dead and phish cover bands. Artie toured with the Dead thru the 80's and he's been to a bunch of Phish shows and he plays guitar and loves to play Phish music..so he said if you learn Phish music we can start a band and play gigs. So that's how I got into Phish music, sort of learning the songs as I learn how to play them lol. But I love this band more and more everytime I listen to them. He actually texted me and said he wants to learn this song too, which is fine with me :)

My 1st show also. The entire show was most excellent , but this 1st jam really got me. As someone with "fresh ears" listening to Phish (not knowing much of there stuff), I actually enjoyed the new jams the most.
