I looked up Hedman's junior stats and no kidding, he actually was miles ahead of 18 year old Silayev with the puck at 15 lol. When he was 15-16 he played in the top Swedish U20 league and scored the most goals by a defensemen with 13 in 34 games (basically the same production that Axel Sandin Pellikka had in the same league in his draft year), then went to the U18 World Championship, was the most productive defenseman on his team and made the all-star team. Silayev should never be compared to Hedman, not the same type of player at all.

Hmm I wonder if that top speed measurement of Helenius is correct. Not impossible that it's correct as he does look quite fast when he tries to. But still, 5th fastest in Liiga and it would be 98th percentile in the NHL.. And he wasn't in the top25 on any of the leg power tests at the combine. So if that's right then he should become one of the fastest players in the league once he develops a bit more physically.
