The idea of either of these players "and some stuff" isn't going to get a 1st line C. Not popular take for sure but they need to consider swapping Michkov for Pettersson. It speeds up the rebuild. Pettersson has better size, better defense, same offense & no language barrier. This is no-brainer for me. Your top 6 players (for first two lines) for next year is: Petterson, Konecny, Farabee, Foerster, Luchanko & Tippett. You add Bonk to defense . I believe enough is coming off book for salary cap to make this happen. The only left to do then is goalie situation as Flyers has incredible depth in system.

Trade TK he is at peak age and performance. He would be worth the Flyers the most this year at the trade deadline as his contract cost is favorable and the Flyers could demand a lot. They also have space to bury an expiring contract. Trade TK for a first round pick and a underperforming player on an expiring contract, maybe a little more. A lot more if they package him with Laughton, Couts, or Risto. I would love to see Couts traded. Not gonna happen.
