I've used one of the color oversaturation shaders to act as a clue for one of the powers being activated (on top of playing a noise at the player's location and showing particles when it's first activated).

before 1.17, it was possible to cheat in a healing potion, that was able to "kill" a player in creative mode. Although it wasn't a real death (even if you used the potion on a survival player), it still showed you the death screen. But you didn't actually die. So you could just click the respawn and you were back where you "died" with everything you had. Just like if nothing happened. Except now your avatar was tilted about 45° in-game (and in inventory). Every subsequential death using this potion would tilt your avatar more and more until it was laying flat on the ground (just as if you died).

It still works, but it never did that for me. Before and after 1.17, it just kills me like normal, whether or not I'm in creative mode. It can even kill mobs that can't be killed with /kill (yes, that's a thing). I don't remember the command to get the potion, but I have it in a saved toolbar

A few of them were like how you see through mobs eyes like the creeper, enderman, or spider. It also would just change the colors around. It's not in the game anymore though

Fun fact: You can actually get out of this bug by using the spectate command again, and then pressing the shift key. This will leave the spectator view and it will update your vision. Pressing F4 also works too.

Entering a mob just sets the tag for whether the player can use it's shader to true and sets other mobs shaders to false. Exiting sets all shaders to false, dying doesn't. That's why f4 could cycle between no shader and Enderman but couldn't go back to the other two mobs.
