I never played Animal Crossing till New Horizons. I tried New leaf for like an hour cause people kept saying its like Harvest Moon (back when it was HM) which was a LIE~ So I returned the game. But I gave New Horizons a chance cause it seemed more promising & well one of my First villagers was Ruby & I've gone through at Least 40+ Villagers never got rid of Ruby. I had phoebe in new leaf and got super attached to her. But for some reason I didn't feel all that attached to her when I got her in new horizons. It's not because of the dialogue because I ended up loving judy, tex, and plenty of other villagers that I've never had in previous games in spite of the repetitive dialogue.
