This is quite an impressive museum. Lots of lovely paintings on display. But my favorite from the video is probably the Addih-Hiddisch, Hidatsa Chief statue. Thanks for sharing this museum with us!

You have great taste, Hidatsa Chief won the gold medal in sculpture and the Kieckhefer Award for Best of Show at CAA's Sale & Exhibition in 2004!! I love that statue too! 🤩 The museum is beautiful. I would love to be a docent there one day.👍🏼😀

Ahhh, thank you SO much! 🌹🎁🖼️ I’m honored! I’ve been so busy traveling, my art has been put on hold - sadly. I miss it! Great choice btw! “Processing Sheep” by Willard Franklin Midgette - this painting is HUGE! (Oil on linen - and takes up an entire wall) Midgette painted it 2 years before his death. Kenny thought they were just shearing the sheep, lol!😂 In Midgette’s own words, “Although the processing depicted in this painting is castration, a practice done to prevent unwanted breeding, what I remember most is the shearing season. As a child, my young siblings, cousins, and I would dangle our feet from the top rail of the sheep corral and watch as older cousins chased the freshly shorn sheep out and coaxed still-woolly sheep in. The adults would snip as fast as they could, careful not to nick the flesh. It might have been only one or two days, but we would make the best time of it because we were together.” 🐑🐏🐑🐏🐑 And there you have it! Happy weekend! And lovely holidays!🥰❤️✨

@sunkissedkrissy I think I saw myself near those palm trees. I thought those were very cool and I definitely liked spring flowers in the conservatory.very life like. Our lady of Guadalupe. Always an admirer of religious artwork. We had a great time and are looking forward to our next visit here or one of the other many exhibits and museums that Phoenix offers in their art & cultural districts .

Madame Adalaide (did I spell that right) was one if my faves. I also like the French pieces toward you first portion-ish of the video. The Indian statue in bronze was nice and so was the Cowboy 🤠 one. Lots of nice artwork 🖼️ over all though!

@@CandidlySharonH Hi there, Sharon! The Indian girl of Santa Clara was extremely beautiful and I am so glad you mentioned her painting. Robert Henri painted the lovely portrait over 100 years ago in 1917. I would love to do docent work here, but I’m heading up to Oregon soon to spend time with my oldest daughter so you will get to see more states of the USA.😊 The weather has been so beautiful here, it will be hard to leave, lol. I'll have to get back to you on which artwork is my favorite. I was going to say the large painting with the farmers shearing sheep until I found out it was a castration . I was horrified 😮 and as a male there is no way I'm going to say my favorite anything includes castration. No way I want that karma coming back on me 😮 I thought they were gathering wool . No harm no foul there. Wool coats . It grows back . Everyone happy! This other thing don't grow back .
