August is our hottest month. The humidity leaves and we usually don't see an overnight low below 100. I feel your pain lol. Great job on the video and I wish nothing but success to you and your family.

Why not a 40 yard dumpster? All this stuff is light. Yup, lot's of waste. I slow flip houses and collect a lot of building materials from bulk pick up times. Just built all kitchen cabinets using oak veneer 3/4" plywood salvaged from tossed entertainment centers and other furniture. Saved me about $500 in materials. Plus I enjoy the hunt, breaking down furniture.

Posted a view times in the past with some advice....IF you end up doing the thrift store, it would be a good opportunity to hire seniors. Most want part time hours so for a business model that would be good, plus you would be supplementing income for a group largely unemployable by most (their needs, not the seniors)

Do you do chandler? Or Maricopa? I have some properties there I could use some deep cleaning. One is 1,400 sf. And the other is 2,365 sf.

Great video, how do you usually price out your work/jobs?
@Aroundtownjunkremoval5 ай бұрын
Pricing is an art form. We generally base it on our real expenses and what’s fair in the marketplace. We try to over deliver on service and communication and still stay under the big franchise companies pricing.

Not all rock collecting is stealing silly! A lot of people collect and are totally legal. And did you know some of those babies are worth big bucks. I am no expert but learning since I moved here. But any public land you can collect, private land. But National Forest I do believe you can't collect. But even out by Lake pleasant there are places that you can collect. In Arizona is where the money on that hobby is. But crystals never through away. People are insane about them right now. 😆I however can't imagine moving a whole bunch. I have moved a couple big ones. But had family who took for land scapping in Scottsdale, Arizona.

Maybe in a few years we’ll get a commercial building and open a second hand store. It’s just so expensive for commercial real estate.

@Aroundtownjunkremoval 100% but if possible look at where goodwill goes, I'm a big fan of abuse, veterans, and pet stores... I'm an agent up in Prescott, so I go down there often and it's insane how much commercial is....

"Donating" is NOT the right thing to do if you are not donating personally to "in need" people because you are doing them thrift stores favor by bringing it to them wasting your time and money while they can make money off of it. Thrift stores sort everything they receive and keep only the ones they THINK, it'll sell so bunch of "donations" gets thrown out. And, they have to sort daily what's on the shelves to put out more stuff they've received. So, you might be stuck on "donating" is the right thing to do, but things you've donated to thrift stores probably gotten thrown out and are in landfills. So, if anything you should save things you can sell or personally donate to people in need you know if you have space but if you don't then just dump it because it'll save you time & money then make "donations centers" get richer. But, hey, do your thang because "donating" at goodwill & etc can save some dump fees so..
@MIGHTYX20106 ай бұрын
I don't totally disagree but you're not considering people who are just less wealthy or poor. They cannot necessarily spend the $20 for a t-shirt or the $14.99 for knick knacks, so going to a thrift store and purchasing things for these people in that class... really helps them out.
@SSMWRX116 ай бұрын
@@MIGHTYX2010 I don't totally disagree but I've worked in a thrift store for 6 years and just so you know MOST aren't the people who can't afford $20 Ts and or $15 "knick knacks". That's an illusion. How does "donating" to these organizations using your time & money and not all gets end up on shelves and THEY gain(Do you think they care about "poor" people?). If you want to donate then you should donate to whoever personally, that way you know it's given to someone who are in need and it was FREE.

Well here in Phoenix, Arizona we have charities that absolutely give to the folks in the valley. Some like a Charity I work with go directly to the families. No third at all. However there are just amazing charities who do give back by funding things for those in need in this area. I get what you are saying. And in general research who you are donating too. But there is this....in the end I would much rather give it to someone and not have good stuff crushed torn apart and dumped at the Phoenix, landfill or substations across the valley. It saves money big time. And you can completely change lives. And yes so true about thriefing. Too much! You can resale some but donating can be simple once you pick up the phone and make a system. Text pic do they want or not. Do they have room. Sweet and simple. And hey you always can get so much work from the charities and thrift stores. You two are kicking rear! So very happy for you!!! Make each day amazing and never stop moving forward!!!

This is not a reason to pay to dump and no one ever gets to use. You're looking for fast, efficient, and least amount of money. Each business is different. I am totally excited that people are starting to see that it truly saves you huge when you can donate.
@SSMWRX116 ай бұрын
@@movingforwardfco1587 It depends on jobs. If most items can be "donated" then, you can just stop by and "donate" but if you're going out of your way to "donate" and then dump at the landfill then you're wasting money & time. It truly doesn't save you much driving around to "donate" because it doesn't just get there without using money. So, it's not saving at all but doing extra and it's not just about gas money. it's really cute to hear people think they are "helping" by "donating" to these organizations is helping, while they're banking off of your items, money, time, and labor. Any person wants to help people and or donate their goods should be done personally and it's soooo easy doing it with all these websites you can use to post it "FREE".
