Phoenix Gold's new Z112AB V2 and Z110AB V2 unboxing and review

After i change the headunit in my VW Polo (i wanted bluetooth;) I discovered that the new Pioneer unit got a lot more out of the standard tweeters in th Polo. And the standard door midrange in my opinion no longer followed up. But since it is only standard speaker it is really limit on what you can add on bass and still hear the std speakers. So i searched the web and found a really good price on the Phoenix Gold Z110ABV2 1 190 NKR (145 USD) (not the best looking woofers) Really easy setup, and i just used the kit that it come with. Now, i really did not expected so much, this is so cheap. But this did surprise me little. This works good in the small Polo together with the std front speakers. But i do not think it will work with propper aftermarket front system. So it is just to beef up the bass little in a car, keeping the standard front speakers. So all left now for me, is to wait and see how long they hold Edit: One thing, the nominell output is really 80W rms .

Does anyone know why the remote is no longer lighting up/ subs won’t turn on? Everything is connected correctly but it suddenly stopped working. The power light turns green on the sub , but no bass

Christian Medellin they are ok, it has good a range of bass. It 1-12 or 10 so you will not be breaking glass, but if you need some bump it will do the job.

My Phoenix Gold Z110ABV2 is oki together with cars stock front speakers. It makes the "just start" of bass feeling in body... Tho last time i had car woofer i had two 12" Vega's with two PG ZX450 amp and custom box Not really fair comparison even if the ZX is old school

Hey guys! Me again, and I have another question; but I think might be more of an opinion question. Should I run power from my head unit or a 4 channel amp to my mids and tweeters? My car is stock (car audio wise). It has a mid and a tweeter in each of the 4 doors. The mid is that the bottom of the door and the tweeter is at the top of the door, not together as one unit. (For all 4 doors) The new speakers that I will be getting are the “kicker ds652 6.5 inch 240w 2-way 4-ohm component speakers.” 1 set comes with 2 tweeters, 2 mids, and 2 crossovers. (I know I’ll need two sets to have 4 of each item) The radio will be a pioneer AVIC 8200NEX, so it has a good EQ already. Would it be overkill to power these speakers from a 4 channel amp? The head unit’s crossover, the new crossover that came with the kicker speakers, and the crossover with the amp? Or even the crossover from the radio to the crossover from the component speakers? I already have the 4 channel amp from a system I had in a different vehicle and I’m already going to be taking the seats and door panels off to get to the speakers and wire everything, so that doesn’t factor into the problem. I want it to be a clean, all around well sounding system that works every time hahah. I don’t want to have to mess with it once I’m done, and have to take the seats and door panels back off, and I don’t have the time to do it twice because this is my daily driver. But I also don’t mind taking a little bit more time to do it the right way, the first time. Dean and Fernando thanks in advance! I really enjoy the details and quality of all your videos. Taylor thank you, you have a good day too. To start when it comes to radio power, even though it says 50 watts, it is only 18 watts. Add an amp for sure! When settings the crossover it starts at the speakers, use the passive the speakers came with. It will bass block the tweeters and add a top crossover for the midrange. Next I like to use the amps crossover for customers cars. The main reason for that is if something happens to the radio and it resets, amp will not. Also friends like to play with radios and screw things up. Setting at the amp usually solves this. For my personal system I like to use the radio so I can have full control. What did I miss?

Five Star Car Stereo , so all I need to run from the back of the radio would be the RCA cables and the amp turn on. All I would need from the amp to the speaker's would be the positive and negative to each speaker? no wires from the back of the radio directly to the passive crossover?

it does not thump like a high power sub. it sounds more like an upgraded factory system. and you definately can't hear it outside of the car can i put a different sub in the box and get more bass???
