I also have raced with a couple of these pro racers(not in this pro series of course), they make this look easy. They are unbelievably fast and consistent. These races are open setups(meaning they have guys build their qualifying and race setups, they have teammates if they choose, share sets etc...) Iracing does provide whats called a "fixed" setup for each track, but those sets would hold nothing against a well made open set

This is awesome! I enjoy watching these races so much. My only real complaint is that I wish Tony Stevens would stop screaming "WHOA" every time two cars get close to one another. Think of something better to say, and learn to modulate without ruining my ears!

These guys that you are watching right now in this Pro series W/C have been on iracing since 2007-2008. They already own just about all the content iracing.com has. Iracing does put out new tracks and cars, but the most expensive thing will be $14.95. Membership is $12 per month, If you buy content in a bundle, you get discounts and credits. This sim is far from nascar you would buy for xbox or ps3. iracing.com has been named the BEST racing simulator of all time.

when they say sponsors do the sponsors pay for their membership or do they write them a check or what?

Yes, most of these guys have sponsers, im sure they pay them with money, equipment etc...If you win the series at the end of a season, 1st get $10,500 a championship ring and all expense paid trip to Homestead Miami race where you will be introduced on the main stage during the pre race show before the NASCAR drivers are announced. 2nd gets I believe $3,500, 3rd get $1,500(I believe), 4th and 5th also receive money payouts. Theirs more also but I do not know all of it

i think the sponsors make sure they have the right tracks availeble cause not everyone can pay it themselves

yh but for a full season it could go upto nearly 400 dollars and not everyone is able to pay that but they will also get some money if they win

Besides that, Dale Earnhardt Jr. Joey Logano, Timmy Hill, AJ Almindinger, Kyle Larson(to name a few) also use iracing.com...A few weeks back I joined an official race at New Hampshire with the gen-6, and low and behold Timmy Hill joined that race as well. I started 4th, finished 4th(caution free, no wrecks) on 55 laps and was about 5 seconds from going a lap down from Timmy Hill(he kicked all our asses lol!) It was awesome and I was soo nervous racing against a REAL NASCAR driver!

what happened to Kevin King? He dominated this race the last two years even though he's a dirty driver. He got wrecked on the restart last year in a controversial finish. that's why i remember it.

Some tracks are included. But between the new car and 18 tracks, it'd be about $300. However the odds that they don't already own the tracks is slim. The cost of sim racing equipment is much more expensive, this can include specially flashed routers, wheel/pedals/shifters, cables, screens, etc. All of this stuff wears out over time, and sometimes "sh!t happens" and stuff malfunctions/breaks. Don't forget the cost of juice boxes and really long bendy straws.....Hana.

its how they make money to continue updating and having great servers. You only pay for a membership, not the game itself. Considering its only 90 for 2 years at the moment its pretty cheap.
