Thanks for this video. It really helps when installing. I put mine in with no issues. Few call outs I had that might help someone else. I have a 2017, f150, XLT with manual temp. When switching over the gears for the temp control you need to make sure your placing the stopper on the gear in the right spot or your max ac, and max def won't work. You can tell by turning the dial and adjust as needed so it turns all the way in both directions. Plus, that needs to be done before sync is attached. For mine it sits underneath the sync and you can't get the screws with it in the way. My sync 3 DOES go in with the plugs at the top of the unit. Otherwise easy. I added a front dash cam and a few different launchers and it so far works great. Only thing that is a trade off is the sync console on screen is smaller and not as crisp as the original screen. But what you get with everything else is better. Lots of leaning though, especially now that you have 2 different units trying to work at the same time.

I agree with the cameras not be as crisp, if I have trouble seeing when reversing, I go to the full screen view. Not really full screen, but better.

When I reverse it comes up 3/4 of the screen automatically. Way bigger than sync ever did. Is that what your does? I am very pleased with that. Same for the front camera I added. I copied your USB trick with the outlet drilled into the side well. Looks great. I felt bad when you had to take it all apart because of the touch screen alignment not being right when it was just a setting. Live and learn I guess.. Thanks again for doing the videos. Very helpful and eased some of the stress of tearing apart my beloved truck.

When your airbag warning light was on, your passenger indicator light on the screen was completely off. This is the same issue I’m having. In the next video, I see it’s working (passenger airbag indicator on)….but I can get mine to come on. How did you get yours to come on?

Make sure your car type is correct in settings if its factory camera.

I installed the device on F150 lariat sport 2017, Sync 2 and I can't hear audio from android applications, I can only hear audio from the original radio, can you help me to fix it?

I’d like to know when you get a phone call and you have your radio on does your radio stop working because mine does I have to shut the car off and open the door then restart the car

Sounds like you have bluetooth on for both units. Try running with just sync connected and not unit, or vice versa based on how you use it.

I little of both. Parts of the oem head unit need removed and installed in the Phoenix unit. See my installation videos

I would think it would be very similiar. Phoenix programs the unit before shipment for the type of climate control and Sync model

The touchscreen needed to be calibrated and was very easy to fix. To do so, just place all 5 fingers on the screen at once, hold for a second and the calibration screen comes up. The Climate control not working was my mistake. When transferring the climate control board from the SYNC to the PX6, I dropped one of the bits I was using on the board and didn't think anything of it. I uninstalled the PX6, and after inspecting the climate control board, one of the chips had been clipped off the board by the dropped bit. I had to order a used F150 bezel from ebay and I salvaged the climate controls from it, everything working great now

@@gtibbot Thanks for the reply. I have the same problem with the SYNC 2 being installed upside-down and it messes with the touch screen control of the OEM SYNC. Other part of the screen does not have the calibration issue. And recalibration did not solve the issue with SYNC. I don't know if you had the same issue or not.

@@bk19999 in the settings, there is a tag called "install set" and you need a code to access the menu. Mine is 666888. Then find "original car central control touch origin", you can choose positive or negative. In my case, it was positive, and I changed it to negative.

Appreciate your video and it will help me when I get mine delivered. I have a question on the end of this video when the soft touch was not working and never seen an update on it. What was the issue?

The touch screen was not calibrated correctly from the factor and it was an easy fix. You place all five fingers on the screen at once, hold and a calibration screen pops up. I now does this every couple of weeks, it improves the touch points.

Do you keep the CD player installed?

Even though the front panel screen covers the CD player and you no longer can use it, it does need to be wired to the PX6.

thanks for the video I did the install and everything went ok except for the two climate control cables included in the kit didn’t work for me instead I had another pair from another China version I bought before
