@@meofaustino Where do you get the lavender, periwinkle, and lilac dyes? Do you mix colors to make them? I’m in the USA and have searched but can’t find them anywhere. Please help. Thank you
@meofaustino3 жыл бұрын
@@MHI.creations.workshop The Lavender is a Jaguar brand. The Periwinkle and Lilac are from local brad here in the philippines. Their fb page is House of Dyes. you can use any purple shade that you have from light to dark one as an alternative..😊

just amazing Meo.. i cant fully describe how wonderful this tutorial is.i have watched many dyers try but give up on the Phoenix.i personally have seen no one that have met Kurts standards. Kurt is also known as a talented pencil artist. i say this in case you did not know. i think now we will see efforts again i have2 questions . is that a hemostat to control hot water flow? also what are the black strips? samat ! k
@meofaustino3 жыл бұрын
Thank you Cathy but i guess i'm not so close to the originak design but it's ok coz i made my version of it..by the way you can watch the Blue Phoenix tutorial of mine.. that's more detailed than purple one.. My answer to your question is Yes! that one is a hemostat i used it beacuse the container is too hot.. second that black strips are rubber bands it can help you to maintain the form and prevent the dye from penetrating to that part..

So COOL! What are the black strips made of you used and what do they do for the design?
@meofaustino6 ай бұрын
It's a rubber strip, I used it to prevent some color from bleeding in that section and to emphasize the wings.

would this work with ice dying?

Great job! It looked like you used 50% dye and 50% Soda ash when you placed your dyes then covered in soda ash before you added the hot water. Is that correct? I think in your other phoenix video you just did the 50/50. It turned out wonderfully.

Wow, good observation..you have keen eyes..🥰 All you said was correct..
