I had tears in my eyes while watching them live this summer with my fiancé. I had a profound moment, as I had survived addiction and I celebrated 4 years clean and sober. Their show was transcendental. It took me 17 years before I got clean at 30. I’m 34 now, so that was half of my life. I discovered Phoenix in 03 when I was 14, and I have never stopped listening. I love you guys so much.

That's exactly the point. Some bands are doing music but will never age with their fan cuz their music isn't good enough.. What does it say about a 50 something year old and her 30 year old children sharing a passion for the same band? Six shows under our belts as a family.
