What I find sad. and I don't see anyone else commenting this, is that here, phoenix went mad with grief. As he is about to loose, he realised he failed his mentor in even just defending her sister from a wrongful murder charge. Then, when all hope is lost, Mia appears and sings the song. However, at the end of the video, we see Red White discussing how nothing happened. No-one else saw Mia. Then we see how Phoenix tries to continue the song, but as he was the only one who saw it, it looks like he burst into song, so he was ejected from court.

Alternative version with less-depressing ending: Everything's the same until the !!!!!!s hit. Then we get, "Redd, did you *really* think I was stupid enough to talk about the *only* copy of the evidence over the phone?" Now we get to see Mia in Maya's robes (remember, nobody's seen the Kurain Channelling Technique at this point), holding a thick binder marked "EVIDENCE," which she slaps down on the desk (causing Nick to scuttle off). Then the song starts and it goes as seen, but without the ending that shows it was all in Phoenix's head. :D
