Fun fact: the character design of him was based off bl characters, one of the head designers designed him to look like a bl character, because when google images was first published, the ace attorney team searched up their game, and saw a lot of bl, (between Phoenix and miles) and the team took this to their advantage, although cap on declined the idea of this, but the team said fuck it and decided to work it in in secret, so one of the designers (straight male) bought a whole box of bl, and read it and put the design into some of the their characters so the game would appeal to fudoshi, (female yaoi fan) so when capcom said ‘create a meek defendant’ they took it to their advantage and made him a shy baby faced character, they had to give him a wife to make him “straight” anywho that’s enough facts go to the video titled ace attorney took inspiration on gay manga
