Phoenixmon X Deck Profile & Gameplay Guide

I just bought this deck and I'm excited to learn how to play it.

I copied your list from one of the tbl videos and wanted to thank you for inspiring me to play the deck. I had no saberdramons so I replaced them with bt-1 birdramon that has on play give a digimon security attack plus 1 its nice to have but sucks it has no on deletion inherent.

I was using the BT1 Birdramon back with the BT11 build since if BT11 Phoenixmon survived the check, you could slam it to give it sec +1 mid check, giving you another check instantly. Since your effects are now end of attack, it's much less relevant. I'd recommend BT13 Aquilamon as a replacement, but nothing is really going to replace a raid/retal body. I've won several games off of that birdramon. I still play a single copy. I would even go so far as to say it is just as useful as the saberdramon.

I'ma fan of bt13 Aquilamon, even tho it has anti-synergy with bt11 biyomon. Awesome list tho!

I play promo SkullGreymon at 1, it's got me out of some binds and can trigger BT13 Biyomon with it's revival effect. I often find Solarmon necessary because all the tamers this deck puts out leaves you vulnerable to cheap DeathXmon plays. I've also experimented with BT11 Tyrannomon who can enable your GarudaX to delete 10k instead of 8k and he plays off Phoenixmon to get you a body AND a free tamer. I've been recommended BT8 Zuxiaumon to counter wide boards, and Valkyrimon Ace but find them clunky with so many megas in the deck.

Yeah, anything out of architype feels a bit clunky. I love promo Skullgrey and I try to slot him into any red/purple deck I build, but the 4 cost evo is pretty steep on top of him being out of architype. I like the Tyrannomon idea though, I think I tried an early iteration with him in it back in BT11 haha. DeathX is almost never an issue for me because my board is usually 5s and 6s with no sources or x antibody forms that won't get deleted anyway. - Gino
