If Volume 10 is greenlit, the first episode needs to be kind of an in between Vol. 8 and Vol. 10 for everyone else. Raven and Tai learning what happened, the beginnings of Amity's refitting, etc. Just fill in the gaps a bit and then end with RWBY and Jaune refining with them to prepare for the rest of the volume. And I imagine Ruby will want to talk to Raven a bit, as well.

You can really see the duality between Winter and Qrow. Where Winter started out this steadfast and bright in volume 3. When training Weiss on their semblances, specially the summoning part. Also seeing Weiss's growth as they were sparring in volume 7. But now after losing everything: her rank, her home, her leader figure, (maybe not as big on this but also) her father and at this point she still thinks her sister hasn't survived the fall of Atlas. Winter has been drifting more and more into despair. I do hope that Weiss will be able to drag her out of it, that Winter will see how much good Winter has done as well. It just makes Winter more fitting to be the Winter maiden in my honest oppinion, as the Winter maiden is known on self-reflection. While Qrow is the opposite. Qrow started out in volume 3 already drowning himself in alcohol, already had a bad relation with his sister, already lost people who he loved (Summer), already had a bad look on life because of his semblance of "misfortune". However we followed Qrow's story along side team RWBY, we have seen Qrow falling into despair after losing his faith in Ozpin, it went so bad that Qrow was to blasted to even notice the Apathy grimm. Yet we also saw how Qrow was able to pick himself up again after seeing more and more of Summer within Ruby, example would be offcourse when facing the mech piloted by Cordoven. His idol (Maria) even praised Qrow for doing the right thing, catching the people who needed help (sometimes literally, like catching Ren before he fell off the mech's shield generator or Ruby after blowing up the mech's cannon arm). It went even more positive for Qrow after pairing up with Clover, where Clover's good fortune was able to cancel out Qrow's bad fortune and even after losing his new friend he's still trying to stay positive, to the point even his misfortune is turning arround when he concentrates enough. This only is getting fueled more by Robyn's support and Ruby's message. I can't wait to see how over the moon Qrow will be after learning that Ruby, Yang and the others are still alive.

I kind of like to think Qrow and Clovers sembulances fused so Qrows enemies get bad luck and allies get good luck from the tradagy of that battle

@@wolf_flash2559 You're not wrong. But it seems like that Passive semblances are alot harder to train, as passive semblances are always active. It's why Qrow has such a gloomy outlook on life at first. His semblance helps him in battle agains enemies, as they can suddenly have an unstable construction beam fall on top off them, yet fighting along allies (like Ruby) they can risk the same consequences. Also the same with Ironwood, who as the "Mettle" semblance that's always active, so he's laser focused to get the job done, which is normally good when running a millitary. Yet this also means that he can't derive from his goal. Even after the barrier, that would keep everyone save if they would launch Altas to space, was already destroyed, James still wanted to sacrifice everything to still launch it to space. Now even after Clover's death, Qrow is still wearing Clover's pin and it seems like this is making Qrow calm down enough to have him focus enough to make his "misfortune" (I would change the name of his semblance to simply "Fortune" at this point) come arround. The worst case scenario didn't happen as the bomb got stuck on the hatch of the airship.

@@KoriTheAnder I do like this to be honest. I think Qrow being a more supportive character suits him over being doom and gloom all the time. Qrow would also be the best person for this, because Qrow has been there, trying to destroy himself with alcohol. Now basicly the things that were the source of their alcohol usage is gone (Jacques for Willow and Qrow thinking his semblance was the source of all his bad luck, also the lost of Summer). Qrow knows that taking those steps to overcome an addiction is hard. Qrow has giving it his all ever since volume 7 to stop drinking, ever since seeing a bit of Summer within Ruby in volume 6. For Willow. Jacques is no longer arround to tear apart the remaining Schnee family members, so Willow is also doing her best to stop drinking.

Oh, that'll be sweet if Raven DOES decide to come to Vacuo. Raven is a maiden after all, an open target for Cinder. That's good that the animatic touches on the effects of recovering from alcohol, in Willow's case.

And to see her and Ruby have a talk and finally get more details on Summer's final mission. Needless to say there's a lot to look forward to in the next Volume! :)

I can see why they originally intended this sequence to be part of volume 9, because it follows very well with the themes we saw in Ruby's emotional struggles in volume 9. Winter is feeling the same sort of despair Ruby did, and for most of the same reasons. She feels the same burden of leadership, the same guilt over mistakes made and of failure to stop the evil that's happened. That psychological burden is in turn preventing Winter from seeing any path forward, for herself or for the people she's trying to help. Keep in mind, also, that Winter is still relatively new to being the Winter Maiden, which brings with it both a fresh set of responsibilities and the added mental issue of inheriting memories of the previous winter maidens. Now that RWBYJ have returned, I think Weiss will undoubtedly be the key to helping Winter move forward. After not really picking up on the signs of Ruby's trauma during volume 9, and seeing what resulted from that trauma, Weiss should be much better attuned to recognize that same sort of trauma in Winter now (especially since it will contrast so emphatically with what Weiss is used to seeing in Winter). Weiss, of course, is also the person Winter is closest to in the world and was part of the same events that led Winter to her current place, so she can recognize what Winter is going through. As for Qrow, he's managed to make that shift in perspective that Ruby really needed to (sadly we didn't get to see this as clearly as I would have liked with Ruby): being able to see the good that they have accomplished instead of only seeing the evil that they couldn't stop. I said a couple of times in the later stages of volume 9 that Ruby needed to be able to see people like the survivors of Atlas - the people who are *alive* because of what she did - instead of just the people she couldn't save like Pyrrha or Penny (the whole array of Neo-clones). I really wish that realization could have been part of volume 9's last couple of episodes, as part of what leads Ruby to the choice to remain herself (letting her see *why* "that girl is enough"), but as a part of volume 10 it could at least help Ruby re-affirm that choice. The fact that she will see Qrow being more optimistic than she's ever seen him previously will hopefully help drive home the idea that she and her teammates really did accomplish something.

I just watched the epilogue animatic from a recorded vid posted on youtube and it was awesome! Roosterteeth should fully animated this and set up as a short trailer for a greenlit vol 10. It would've been perfect to recap the despair and loss vol 9 had in Winter's perspective. But things turned for the brighter in Qrow's when team RWBY and Jaune return to protect and defend in vol 10

This whole animatic is perfection. Given time and budget restrictions I completely understand why it couldn’t be added to Volume 9 but I think it will still work magnificently for Volume 10. So much still to be seen and all of it makes me excited, how Team RWBY and Jaune encounter Raven, more on the situation in Vacuo involving the other teams like SSSN and CFVY. And considering what we’ve seen in this animatic, I am really looking forward to Weiss’ reunion with Winter. For all this and more I will wait as long as I need to for Volume 10. I never understood why anyone thought Raven would somehow show up in the Ever After. It's a semblance that works on Remnant, not between worlds.

It really makes me wonder why Tai isnt there with everyone. Because clearly hes being used as Ravens link back to Patch and by extension Vale. But why. Is he being used to basically be a teleporter link for transportation of goods and supplies from where he's at? It makes you wonder if thats all hes really good for is being an instant transmission fast travel waypoint. Btw still believe Raven bartering with Cinder to kill Qrow was actually her own way of ensuring cooperation. In all actuality she never intended to kill him or wanted to. She just used him being a pain in the ass as an excuse to gain common ground for working with Cinder. Its just more of how that might play out when they next meet and the explanation that follows that more or less leads him to not be so hostile.

Well, Tai being back in Patch/Vale would allow for rapid transit of the protagonists back to Beacon via Raven portal. She doesn't know or care about anyone else likely to be so close to Beacon, since the final relic is hidden somewhere near Beacon (most likely) a way for the protagonists to get there first is useful.

Called it. Moving an entire Kingdom's population to another one known for its small amount of resources and food was never gonna go well. Especially when said Kingdom has bad blood with the other. Did not think about how the Schnee would be viewed by the survivors. Cruel but that's not surprising. The positives are also within my expectations. I didn't talk about them cause everyone was talking about the positives so I decided to say the obvious negatives. Even in the most dire and hopeless of scenarios, there will always be those few that keep the spark of a better tomorrow lit. Which, at times, results in the two sides, negatives and positive, getting into 'arguments.'

Tai hears a knocking at the door. He opens it letting Raven in. They sit down and have tea, talking about the message. Suddenly Raven bolts up. Tai asks her if she's leaving already, to which Raven replies, "She's gone." We cut to Qrow sitting in shock on an atlesian ship. Robyn comforts him, suggesting that communications are probably down right now. A portal opens up and Raven storms through demanding Qrow tell her what happened to Yang. Robyn quickly gets up ready for a fight as Tai steps through the portal. Raven's question removes all hope from Qrow, who tells everyone to sit down while he explains everything to Tai and Raven. RWBYJ arrive in Vacuo and see the city and its fortified glory. A portal opens and Raven rushes through before stopping when she sees Yang. She questions where they went, they question why she's there, Blake questions who she is? After some back and forth with Raven poorly hiding her joy for Yang being alive, they portal into Vacuo proper. Later, Ruby gets a moment alone with Raven and questions her about Summer, to which Raven gaslights her. I can't guess any further.

I think Tai would be very worried, And I like that theory, that Qrow and/or Raven went to tell him what happened to Yang/Team RWBY, I think Tai would be very worried because all of Remnant saw Ruby's message, And from what we see, Ruby usually sends Tai Letters Regularly. I think that will be impactful message and I like to take a guess it's been a few months or so for them but I'm leaving the suggestions and guesses to everyone but I've been months or years all that matters is that Team RWBY and Jaune are back and that the world did come together with her message so I'm getting a feeling that Ruby wants to ask Raven about what really happened to her mother. There are bad times and there are good times it's only when the person sees that there is still good in this world and that is worth fighting for. Something that is worth keeping moving forward.

Honestly speaking, if we go by real world timetables, then it would take between 42 and 100 days for a battleship to be built, if they did it fast. Given that Amity Colosseum already existed, it would likely take less time to build around it. I wanna say that the time table of 3 to 6 months would be accurate. Battleship Amity is such a cool thing though, I can’t wait to see that thing in action, that also confirmed Maria and Pietro lived and that he knows Penny is dead given Winter has her powers, and I am not ready for that meeting. I wanna see who’ll get the Sword of Destruction. It’s gonna be interesting to see how that one works.

I've had a number of outcomes for this series floating through my head since the end of Volume 9. Primarily with the revelations of the Tree and alternative universes. 1. They talk/offer Salem a chance at evolving by going to the Ever After/Tree 2. They are able to bring the world together without hostilities amongst them and when the 4 relics call back the Brothers they judge Salem, not the world 3. Ruby's Silver Eyes are powerful enough to put Salem into a frozen stasis Likely none of these are viable, but hells, it reminds me of the year between Infinity War and Endgame trying to figure out how they resolve it. Lastly... if Salem is able to enter in and control the Pool of Darkness/Grimm can RWBY and or others access and use the Pool of Light in some fashion?

If RWBY continues, I'm thinking that Volume 12 will most likely be the final volume, and 10-12 are the climax of the show. My guess is that it starts on Vacuo, then Beacon and either Vytal or the Land of Darkness for the final battle.

Honestly, the animatic did prove a headcanon of mine that Raven would be coming back, and potentially involved in bringing RWBY back. Now, all we need is Taiyang in V10 for things to come full circle.

I've been saying since volume 8 ended that Qrow and Winter are going to be the 2 that support each other the most. They lost the people most important to them. There's only so much Robyn can do to support Qrow when she hasn't experienced the same level of loss that Qrow has. And, yes, I am definitely biased because I am definitely a Snowbird shipper. I went to RTX and saw this live. It was amazing and I balled my eyes out as soon as it started.

so a solid takeaway is that Qrow, Robyn and the Aceops are in Vacuo with everyone else. That was a concern of mine at the end of Vol. 8 since everyone on that ship wasn't a part of the portal traversal plan. With Team SSSN and maybe Team CFVY, this seems like a RWBY "Everyone is Here" Smash Ultimate chapter and I'm all for it!

The writers knew they screw up and they know they shot themselves in the foot. With Atlas fallen: -The dust mines are done for meaning no more dust for the other kingdoms leading to a shortage all over Remnant. Unless they decide to mine it themselves without the SDC. -The Atlas military is the only military in Remnant leading to the other kingdoms to fend for themselves. If they saw Ruby's message they would either not believe her, or wanting to defend their kingdoms with any available Huntsmen at their disposal and police faction. -It was stated in the books that Vacuo's dust mines are empty and they require outside sources. But that's no longer an option with Atlas gone. -Remember Vale? They're still fighting the Grimm since the kingdom fell in v3. They also have no access to dust mines. -If anything, Ruby's message made things worse. I'm curious to know what retcon the writers will pull out of their asses to make things look like everything is all right in Remnant while ignoring the threat of Salem. Of course if you're shill who ignores logic and common sense you will see nothing is wrong in the writing.

How about each kingdom can still gather up their own dust supplies that they have. Each nearby kingdom can give support to vale and get the people out which are more important then the city and again gather supplies their are. With whatever atlas scientists and miners that escaped they can give their resources and help to find dust deposits even if they are small compared to Atlas. Either way the message was going to bring trouble who ever gave it at least Ruby messages inspired hope and wasn’t delayed.

The funny thing is, they could bypass the problem by leaning on the whole 'no victory in strength' and have the protagonists bypass Salem, steal back the relics she holds, take the Destruction relic and head to Beacon to grab the last one. Summon the Gods and literally Deus Ex Machina it with a speech to get the Gods to clean up their mess ( _Salem_ and Ozma) then let everyone get on with their lives. The 'smaller more simple soul' being listened to because she makes a speech no one else would, where no amount of strength ever won vs Salem. (or more importantly, The two Gods.)

I have to say the animatic is good as an ending, but GREAT if restructured into an opener for v10. Essentially rewinding the clock a bit to do what amounts to a time-lapse of everyone settling in Vacuo up to Raven arriving with RWBY+ J having found them post-coming out of the Ever After. Mostly cause it serves as an info presentation of everything that went on while they were away, gives an idea of the atmosphere/mood, gives a glimpse into Qrow & Winter's minds, and ofc gives the audience the treasure of Jason and Elizabeth's narrating. The way that small bit made me feel so much for Winter. Also that "Remember her message" hits so hard. Ruby being held up as the hero she fought to be, especially after v9 and seeing her turmoil over in her eyes failing to be one. As for characters wanting to see: CFVY is the obvious one; SSSNN (and want to Nolan/Scarlet together having moments); also Sun and BB, cause I want to see him full-on teasing Blake xD; Ghira and Kali meeting Yang; Tai and Raven meeting Blake (maybe a funny bit between Raven and Blake xD); and that's all the easy go-to's for me atm. Ones away from the obvious MC reunions anyway (cause I want to see Raven talking about Summer with Yang and Ruby; and Yang and Raven potentially mending things)
