Yep! It seems that the fakers didn't correctly set the Android DPI settings, so apps still ran at phone DPI instead of tablet DPI. The incorrect setup screens also suggest this was made by the same fakers that made fake iPhones. On a side note, with the apps displaying phone UIs instead of tablet UIs, I had seen that on some BOOX e-readers, but at least over there, their custom UX has per-app DPI settings, so (on a device with a 10.3" display) I would often change the DPI from 320 to 240 on third-party apps so that, for example, Evernote would load its tablet UI instead of its phone UI.

The Genshin impact test is what did it for me. That looked like it was running on a potato phone. Genshin usually runs very well on apple devices (unless it's REALLY old).

I mean, it's probably masked Android, and the specs do fit with the performance on Android, that's the way it ran on my Wiko (though a tad better than on my Wiko, on that thing the textures were all kinds of screwed, the Wind dragon was basically a mess of swirling polygons but I beat it despite not being able to see the damn thing) IOS only has to account for Apple devices, so the optimization is crazy good, but it's decent for an Android impostor

They had to have tampered with the MTK CPU/GPU scheduler to always run at higher clocks to keep it that responsive. Genshin is it's tell-all though. To be fair, the manufacturers aren’t really the ones trying to deceive. Normally they sell these for people who want the look without the price even if it means loss of functionality. For example, I have fake AirPods Pro’s, because I want the ease of pairing and connectivity with the noise cancelling along with the look of course. They work fine for me and cost a fifth of the real. Unfortunately, it’s the end buyer that usually ends up being the scammer
