The Roots x Stevie Wonder x J Dilla = Phony Ppl....Obviously The Roots because of the hip-hop element to Phony Ppl with both Sheriff PJ and Elbee Thrie having verses on songs and the live instrumentation (not saying they are equal, The Roots as a band are older than anyone in Phony Ppl)...I think Elbee Thrie's voice is similar/has the same vibe as Stevie Wonders, listen to "End Of The niGht"...Then J Dilla, go listen to "Why iii Love The Moon" drums and guitar and the whole 53,000 mixtape by Elbee Three.
