"Pain makes men out of boys who are lost" That line hit me so much. I'm female, but I think it rings true for any human. Pain will hurt you so much that if you survive it you get stronger each time. Not to spread my life story, but I've suffered multiple types of abuse, and have attempted suicide on many occasions. I spent a large portion of 2018 in a psychiatric ward. Obviously I am still alive. I am not a fan of rap. I'm a metal/rock/punk fan. One day 'Hi Ren' popped up on my for you page, and I was interested, purely because Ren was my nickname when I was 11...many years ago. I clicked on it and was blown away. I have been a Ren fan ever since that day. Ren isn't rap. Ren is a true poet. Ren is a musician who knows how to wield words like a samurai wields a sword. I truly appreciate that. I don't think I will ever find anyone in this genre who comes close to the skill he has. More love to Ren. I don't know if he will see this, since I know he has been sick again recently, but I just want him to know that his music and lyrics have truly taken up a home in my heart because I can relate so much to them.

OMG Ren bro, you have absolutely killed it with this song, from the composition of the track, which in my mind went from an almost UK Garage sound, to a jumpy almost reggaeton vibe and then finished with a eurodance-esque feel. Lyrically this is a masterpiece, the cadences and flows fall from your lips with the utmost clarity and precision, some parts hit hard, while at the same time, still keep you wanting to get out of your chair and dance around. The vocal at the start to, I’m assuming was Kit, was like an enticer to lure you into the mind of Ren, and what a haunting place that is with everything that you are going through, and Kits voice was angelic, yet haunting too.. From a production standpoint, we have seen you go big before (Money Game 3) but this was next level cinematography and your team deserves all the credit in the world as do you my man.. Hi Ren! From one musician to another, You are without doubt the most authentic Artist to hit Music in at least 3 decades! Im 52, I can express myself through percussion, strings and keys. I used to DJ 1210's vinyl days. I've managed an excellent local band from Manchester in the Noughties and I'm a pretty dam good sound engineer, all this qualifies me to make the preliminarily statement. The most authentic Artist to hit Music in at least 3 decades. Im also living with a Stoma and have been mutilated more times than i care to remember. They can't do anything more for me. The stoma has begun to herniate again and it will eventually grow so huge that it will cause fatal complications. I never know what to say in the comments, I don't know music well enough to pass judgement. This is genius, the Greek mythology references of Mother Earth and hell/ torture. A Clockwork Orange hint, the sacrifice of self. I have to watch this like 40 more times to get all of the references but I loved how every character was himself. They started off chasing him and at the end he offs himself. @@daniellekunze3215 Yea my thoughts mixed with what Ren has actually said is the three platforms (the Greek words in the beginning Heaven, Hell and Earth) he’s constantly being pulled deeper into one side and equilibrium is Gaia or Earth when he’s at his best. I think the beginning is him swaying in the fetal position into a dream/nightmare where in every scene it is Ren killing Ren (himself) maybe his disease, maybe it’s just finally being “done with it” but every torturer is himself in every scene. Almost like he feels as if he’s doing it to himself hence the “money makes the sick boi sicker somehow”, line from Money game. He feels as though maybe this pressure that comes with fame (anxiety, expectations, deadlines, fans) is what is causing him this harm yet he needs it to live. Music is his love and when he performs it’s when he feels most alive. So the beginning scene starts with him asking for help then rocking in the fetal position and the end is himself on his knees offing himself and white ren dies with all the black-clothed Rens = this is the Slaughterhouse and Welcome because this is where I’ve poured my heart out to the point where I can barely get out of bed aka essentially he’s, “dead to the world”.

I saved this one for today, and it's such a cohesive collection of Ren's different musical styles, and the trail of puzzle pieces that make a whole image, are clever throwbacks from tiny aspects, or bits of lyrics from other songs that he has created... IMPRESSIVE!!!! The journey throughout the story, woven intricately within the song, is quintessential Ren, but more advanced, as he matures. I'm sorry you're so unwell again, Ren (If you ever see this)!! I'm struggling, too... Your music is a healing balm for SO many of us!! Just to ease the ache and burn for a second is a true gift, and a marker of your talent being utilized to carry your message of intentional, positive action!! You're a genius! I love this one so much. All the metaphors and stuff about having to deal with chronic illness, really hit me hard. It’s amazing (in a very unfortunate bittersweet way) to see someone go through such intense struggles and hardships, and be so freaking resilient and to make art that transcends past just their own experiences and is so disturbingly beautiful.
