I got one 2 days ago. I'm a beginner, practicing piano on my own ... it took me an hour of fiddling around to be able to make a track with one drum, one guitar and one synth. It's so much fun.

I recently got one to practice fingering and chords, I'm a complete novice and want to get a full size digi piano, I figured this would be a greay way to test my commitment to learning as well as offer a way to practice on the go as I have to travel regularly and fitting a full size piano isnt exactly easy. Great video and love the cards you printed, something I'd like to say for others who are interested in this, is that you can also tune the keys as well as turn off control output from the keyboard, so if you have this hooked up to a pc as a controller the sound can come through your pc output but not the keyboard speaker using just usb, I use this as a controller for some software so I found this to be useful.

I love the cards. I think I should make one with just the set list for songs for quick looping with my rc2 or send it to the zoom r8! I prefer simple and dawless setup and some of these sounds are super dank! Be posting soon.

Thanks for the video! I guess we can plug it into active computer style speakers and get sound without a computer? From the phones output?

Sounds great, I'm a bass player but have a damaged wrist and this little keyboard could enable me to still play bass notes but would I be able to play it through a PA?.
@phooto2 жыл бұрын
Yes of course. There’s octave control, and the headphone output could be used through a PA.

Hello and thank you for the review and cheat sheets. Can a50 work as a sound module through usb-midi to control the a 50 sounds from another controller? Thanks

Yes, you can drive it as an instrument.

I have a PSS-A50, JD-Xi, black CT-S1 and an original Go:Keys. I will probably get the new Go:Keys 5, maybe a Casio CT-S500, and later an RD-08 and Yamaha CK61, which is essentially a full size 61 key Reface series keyboard in one and a lot more.

I have a 80's Yamaha organ which is huge fun and now a Roland Fantom-06 as my main studio and stage keyboard.

Dear Simon! I have also a pss-a50. Did you notice that if you use it in sensitivity 1-2 or 3 some sounds are louder than others? And you have to press very much the buttons to her the sound of the isntrument. If you switch off the sensitivity it works fine. Does anyone lese have the same problem?
@phooto2 жыл бұрын
I've never changed the sensitivity myself. But, I wouldn't expect it to be like a top-flight MIDI keyboard I guess.

Would it make sense for a beginner to buy this if I already own the yamaha pss f30?
@phooto Жыл бұрын
I think it would depend on what you are looking for as a step up. A few more sounds are the main thing you’ll get. You might be better to look at something with full size keys, as they are easier for playing chords. More money, but might be better for you. Casio have some great options with full size keys.

Piano sound not bad?
@phooto6 ай бұрын
It's very good, especially for that price.
@jjacob251016 ай бұрын
@@phootoI agree. For the price, very decent. Don't expect top tier quality, but years ago, much more expensive keyboards were the same. So for the price and portability and that you can use this as a controller keyboard for a DAW is awesome, too. You just need a micro USB to whatever USB cable to what is equipped on your other device.
