Im Dutch originally and we do have a lot of cheeses and we do grilled but I'm getting lots of ideas here of doing more creative stuff with grilled cheese sandwiches in the near future... I just need to think of taking photos before I eat them 😂 Great first concept and contest Charles!! 🙏🏻 Happy New Year BTW 🎉

I guess that one of the hardest part of that brief is not to eat the cheese before you have time to take the picture. Mind you, using dutch cheese might help with that. Only kidding. I love all cheeses, including the Dutch ones. Even the Brits are doing some great cheeses. No one knows about it, and certainly not the British themself, but there are fantastic Cheddars or Weinslaydale out there is one is happy to remortgage their house.

my country isnt included, heck i dont even own a camera but I am thinking to buy one in the future as i absolutely love photography and have taken lots of pictures that i love with my phone, altho i like natura photography more but ive submited one pic of a cheese stick i made anyway as i never did anything like this and it sounds fun!!

That's an excellent idea. I am excited to participate. Being French, I was exposed to all sorts of cheeses at a much younger age than you were, and have certainly lots of choice available to me. Yet, I find this theme quite challenging, which is good. I now need to put my thinking cap on. I normally don't take part in contests like this because they usually state somewhere in the fine print that all ownership of the pictures supplied is transferred to either the sponsor or the contest organizer. As a stock photographer, I tend to object to this as it is too often a very cheap way (I mean, even cheaper than using stock agencies!) to build a portfolio of pictures for which they own the rights. Can you confirm that this is not the case here?

Ok, I found the answer to my own question on your website, where it clearly state that "Entries remain the intellectual property of the creator, and you retain all rights to your photo." So all good, well done. Knowing you, I would have been surprised if this wasn't the case, but hey, I am cynical....

I have in fine print that If you participate you allow me to use the photo here on youtube in both my channels (maybe as a review/critique) but only to talk about the contest and participants, You retain the rights to the photos, I have no intention of profiting form your images or using them in any way outside of these videos and anything related to the competition. I totally agree with you, thats why I don't join competitions, but this is not my intent here. I want to make it fun and easy for everyone. Cheers and Best of Luck! 🙌🏼
