Many thanks for these videos, they are all very useful and entertaining! I have a question about photos and aspect ratio - do agencies have a preference?
@wollertz3 күн бұрын
Thanks so much! No preference as long as the composition is strong. Keep in mind that Stock is for advertising, so leaving a bit of text space is more important than the aspect ratio. With that said remember to include both verticals and horizontals, you might end up in a magazine somewhere 😁

Hi . Thank you for your channel, it's one of the few I follow. Do you think it's bad right now to just upload AI images to Adobe Stock and photos taken by me to Shutterstock? I ask you this because Shuterstock has the option for editorial images and Adobe Stock doesn't have that option. This is one of the many questions I would like to ask you, but over time I will ask you the others. Continuation of your magnificent and videos. THANKS
@wollertz12 күн бұрын
Absolutely no problem, if you shoot non editorial images you can upload to both agencies. But yes, at the moment Adobe is only accepting illustrative editorials without people. Best of luck!
@bananaukra323511 күн бұрын
@@wollertz Hi. I use editorial on shutterstock because in my opinion (I don't know if it's wrong or not) as I put editorial only those who really want it will buy it and not people who buy packages and then maybe sell them as if they were theirs like what happens in Adobe stock. Thanks
@bananaukra323510 күн бұрын
@@wollertz My fear is that someone will download my photos and use them as if they were their own and in the editorial option only those who are interested can buy them and can also buy the same editorial photo in the commercial option. My photos and videos are from my travels and everyday life and as I'm afraid someone will "steal" them, I make them as editorials. The AI ones, as they are made by the program, I'm not so afraid of someone but "stealing" them and I've already noticed that unfortunately Adobe Stock takes forever to accept normal photos and the AI ones are almost instantaneous. Does anything else in your images use upscale? If so, what programs do you use? Thanks
@wollertz10 күн бұрын
@@bananaukra3235 that’s everyone’s fear, but the agencies protect you against theft the best they can, we have to trust them if we want to succeed. I haven’t done much upscaling at all, if I do I use photoshop, but for the most part it’s pretty straight forward 🤷♂️
@bananaukra323510 күн бұрын
@@wollertz I saw videos of people using Leonardo Ai to do uspcaling, that's why I was asking you. What I do is cut the images and upload them. I don't use photoshop or lightroom. I don't like doing retouches like that on photos, maybe that's why I haven't sold any editorial photos yet. Images ia, I already sold some Thanks

Did you run into any "intellectual property" issues when submitting these drone images to the stock agencies? I did something similar last year featuring a package being delivered by drone and Adobe and Shutterstock refused the images for not having a property release from DJI. I made sure not to include any DJI logos, but apparently they considered the simple shape/appearance of the drone to be identifiable enough to require a property release.

One or two of the agencies said that, but most of them took the photos 🤷♂️
