Hi, I’ve been looking at organization videos, including the ones for pictures and your post came up. Very helpful, even though it’s four years later 😂 I’m going to look on Amazon for things that are similar that would work for us. I have pics from my parents, my whole life, and my teenagers that we need to sort and figure out how to store properly. Thanks!

I am working on my photos right now. so this video is very helpful. makes me realize i am not the only one who gets behind. I actually bought the plastic container with little boxes last night before I watched this. thanks for doing a video like this. Most of the videos I found about photo organizing were really old like from 2013

I've been trying to find a storage solution for my photos, I don't like them in photo albums! This is perfect, I love that you're willing to share this idea! Thank you xx

I have scanned all my photos into a harddrive and only keep a few special physicals. We plug in the harddrive to the TV and have the pictures going like a screen saver. It's been wonderful to have all the extra space and to see those memories more often. I also have a second harddrive with everything on it in my emergency "togo" bag. Just in case a flood or fire happens I can still have my important documents and pictures saved. 💕

Great video. I have thousands of printed photos, going back to 1970 when I was a teen. They are all organized in photo boxes, but I still need to go through and finish destroying the bad ones and the duplicates. I've tried organizing my digital photos on my computer, but I'm not very disciplined, so it's a mess. And I have hanging files in a file cabinet that house my 5 x 7's and 8 x 10's, by year, along with memorabilia from events or trips from the same year. When I retire next year I'll begin the process of really organizing and getting everything in albums/scrapbooks. I also have every negative since 1970, and I've been scanning those on my Epson scanner and it turns my 35mm negatives into photos on my computer. I hope to have everything digital eventually, destroy the negatives (I have 3 drawers in a plastic rolling cart full) and give my kids copies of the digital files. I like your system A LOT. I wish sometimes I didn't have so many photos, but it's too late now! I have 2 containers in my home office of misc. pictures that need to go into the appropriate places, and your video has motivated to tackle that project next week. Thanks!

Hi so I've been working on organizing my photos! For a few days now and for me my family moved a lot so I found that not putting them by date as so much by putting them by place! And I also wanted to ask what kind of label maker do you use! I love the font that you use for you pictures! ☺️

My daughter got me the photo organizers but what I want to know is what you store them on or in? do you stack them on top of each other and then put them on a shelf or put them in a closet?

I use the old VHS videocassette boxes to organise photos instead of buying new storage items.

Those are also great for odds and ends to keep until you figure out where they belong.

Hi! love your light floors...what is the color and type and was it expensive? Thanks!!

They are Pergo laminate flooring from Lowe's. You know, I probably need to get the exact name for my office tour video. I don't know the name right off the top of my head, but I will before then. I love them. All of the flooring cost information I shared in my goal tracking video. I shared the total cost and how we are paying for it.

I don't understand organizing them by size. What is the reasoning behind this?
@lorihorbiak16806 ай бұрын
So you can fit them in the box. 5x7s won't fit in the 4x6 boxes.

I tried to read the boxes, but I couldn't see if they were acid free. Plastic give off gasses and will destroy your photos after time. Wish my collection was 1/100 of hers! I come from a family of photographers, one was on the San Francisco Examiner..We have acid free professional boxes and you can find them online. She helped me a bit with this. Thanks.

It would be very helpful to share the principles of your piles - categories , instead of just showing all the piles you made. How did you get there?

I have 19 photo albums dating back to the 90s with some older phots from the 60s and 70s. With that being said, honestly, in 50 to 75 years no one is gonna care about any of those photos! They will end up in the trash. I stopped printing out so many. It's ridiculous how many digital photos we all accumulate that we will never look at again. That is also clutter!

I have a digital photo frame and my kids love hearing about who is in the pictures and what was going on.
