@jakedenham3 жыл бұрын
Hi, what version of V-Ray are you using. There is a V-Ray AO element now in Vray 5+, if not use a Dirt Map.

nice informatif video? but i want to ask question bro what is the use of vray diffuse filter ?? and why you only masking a view part of that filter???
@jakedenham7 жыл бұрын
Hey Vendry, The diffuse filter shows all the colours and textures without any lighting information. So if the light in the scene is affecting the material too much (reflections etc) you can bring it back with the Diffuse Filter. It can be handy if a client wants something colour matched exactly to a product. I mask it because it is not nessercry for the whole image. It could make the image start to look flat. Let me know if you have any more questions, Jake
I cant do softlight for my reflection layer and the color balance for the first layer is blocked (gray) what Im doing wrong?

Hey Matias, can you check you are in RGB color in Image>Mode?
@matiasbenavidesdigitalvisu95116 жыл бұрын
Im in 32bits RGB color, my raw files are in .exr
@jakedenham6 жыл бұрын
it's because you are in 32 bit, you have less options. To do what I am doing change to 16bit.
@matiasbenavidesdigitalvisu95116 жыл бұрын
oohh thks! I was thinking 32 is better

why do you use that tga files and where do you get that
@jakedenham7 жыл бұрын
Hey Rizwan, for me .tga is the best file size whilst keeping the quality. This is personal preference. You can use .jpg or any other format. To save as .tga there is a drop-down menu in the save output window in 3ds max. (underneath where you type a file name.)
