Make sure you use a mat underneath that isn't plastic. A glass cutting board works, a slab of marble or the we r memory keepers magnetic mat. Its a game a changer and helps the wheel to slide across without getting caught up on the plastic cutting mat

Any way this fuse can fuse together two page protectors like the flush bound pages you sell? That would be amazing!
@WeR_Makers9 жыл бұрын
+Jennifer Godfrey Yes! The Fuse tool could absolutely fuse 2 page protectors together!
@jingorokitty9 жыл бұрын
Does the tool work for any brand's page sleeves/protectors? When you use the cutting head attachment, will it cut through just one layer of the sleeve or both? Do you recommend inserting a piece of scrap cardstock as backing if I only want to cut through one layer of the sleeve? And pricing info please!
@WeR_Makers9 жыл бұрын
jingorokitty Sorry it took us so long to respond!! The tool does work with any brand page protector. The cutting head will only cut through one layer unless you leave it on the plastic too long. You could always use the metal Fuse ruler to slide in between layers if you're worried about cutting through both.

jingorokitty Sorry - forgot to include pricing info.. It retails for $29.99

I gave purchased the fuse tool and I am very disappointed! It doesn't fuse anything' I don't know what I am doing wrong. I waited to to purchase this item before I purchase anything else,, what specificity can and can't be fused?
@WeR_Makers8 жыл бұрын
+Robin Misemer We're sorry you're frustrated with the Fuse tool. A few tips that may help... The tool will only fuse plastic products together like page protectors and our FUSEables plastic paper. You will need to practice speed and pressure depending on how thick your plastic is. The thicker the plastic, the slower and harder you'll press. The thinner, the faster you'll go with lighter pressure. If the tool still isn't working for you after some practice with these tips, contact our customer service at info@americancrafts.com for additional help :)

Hi Mariana, we have different Fuse tools for the US, Europe, and Australia. You'll need to have to correct one for it to work properly. Also, be sure to allow the tool to heat up for at least 10 minutes prior to use. If you still have questions, you can reach out to acinfo@americancrafts.com.

Can you use any kind of page protector with the fuse tool? Or does it have to be a certain kind of thickness/page protector?
@WeR_Makers8 жыл бұрын
You can use any page protector or plastic paper material. The thickness will determine your speed and pressure with the Fuse tool.
@gailcob16 жыл бұрын
My fuse tool rolls over every surface except plastic. It sticks and just slides. I've tried many different thicknesses but with the same outcome. When I take it off the plastic it rolls across smooth cutting boards and anything that isn't plastic. The slower I go, the more mess it makes.
@WeR_Makers6 жыл бұрын
Hello! We're sorry to hear that. Here are a few trouble shooting tips: 1) Heat the tool for at least 10 minutes before using; 2) practice ahead of time on a scrap of the material you're going to use for your project; 3) Try different speeds and levels of pressure to find what works best with various materials. It sounds like you may need to move your tool faster over the plastic. What type of plastic are you using?
@gailcob16 жыл бұрын
I have tried various plastic sleeves, thick and thin, I've heated the tool for 10mins, 15 mins, 30 mins... I've pressed hard and soft, I've rolled slowly, and fast. The head doesn't turn, just slides and does nothing. I've tried leaving it on the plastic but it just makes a gaping hole. I've watched many tutorials but my tool doesn't do the same as the tutorials. Pretty much an extremely expensive dud.

Judy Krueger The Fusable paper works with the Fuse tool just like the page protectors, only you can emboss and die cut beautifully with it first! I’m still not sure I get how this works, there should a lot more closeups in this video. Its always just seconds and filmed fromthe right (so the hand holding the tooland what the tool is actually doing is hidden behind the passive hand - who on earth filmed this lol). And when it becomes interesting suddenly we’re zoomed out again, bam. It would be great to have a video with a “virgin” sleeve and showing how to section that from start to finish or how to even create a layout and then change it etc.

I bought the fuse tool in germany, with the EU plug. But the international version of the fuse tool is a shame. It's just a thin plastic thing. No brand. No extra ring at the metallic part to hold it in place while lying in the stand (warm up phase f.e.). Bit it isn't cheaper than the US version, so I don't know why you did this oO I mean the US version looks better, nice shape, kinda comfortable in your hands, this extra ring at the top.
@WeR_Makers8 жыл бұрын
+BoeserSmettaling We are so sorry for the design differences in the tools! We decided to make those changes to keep the price down for our International friends due to the cord conversion costs... We truly apologize and hope you know the tool will perform as it was intended and developed to even with these differences. Thanks for reaching out and if you have further questions you can reach out to our customer service at info@americancrafts.com :)

+We R Memory Keepers Makes sense. But I 've paid a few euro more for your us design (here in our stores)... but the the tool works fine! Except the design I won't miss it anymore.
@WeR_Makers8 жыл бұрын
So sorry for your disappointment in the International tool design changes :( No - we do not recommend using any self-healing mat with the Fuse as it will melt the mat. We recommend our glass cutting mat or our new heat-resistant Fuse mat that has a handy tool holster. As for the mat colors, it used to be pink and is now turquoise. Looks like we just need to update our site!
@alisonjones30577 жыл бұрын
the UK version of the fuse tool is vastly inferior to the us version. the UK one has none of the safety features and the build materials are cheaply done compered to us model . sadly then I won't be buying this tool until the company improves the European version ! 😑

Yet another crap product from WRMK. Half your products are so badly designed and/or QA'ed. They don't work as marketed. My perforated wheel just slides along the top of the plastic and doesn't really seal. If I am lucky, I might get 15% seal on a portion of the plastic, but it's not a strong seal and will easily rip. I'm losing faith in everything you guys put out. But boy, do you guys market the heck out of stuff to make them cool and must-haves.
