me too. I just lost my companion of a deacde. We were to grow old together. I guess we sorta did, but I thought we would have more years. The first time this song took its deeper meaning was in the George Harrison memorial concert. After I lost my dear man, I turned to this song soon after. I knew it would hurt, but it also made me feel less alone.

I'm a tough guy but this is one of those songs that can bring tears to my eyes. I think a lot of us have that one special person that we let get away and then spend a lifetime secretly regretting it or am I the only one?

Back in the late 80's I was a young cop in Holborn, London covering the Dominion theatre on Tottenham Court Rd. There was a charity do going on.. my brief was to make sure Ringo and his wife got to their car outside the theatre after the performance.. my God, he shook my hand and thanked me. That's my claim to fame! Nice bloke!

Such a great, sentimental song. After watching Ringo play this at the Concert for George, it became even better. Happy to see Ringo go to the hall of fame. It's only appropriate that the best rock band of all time has all four members individually as well. Ringo has had some good stuff too. Photograph and It Don't Come Easy are his best I feel.

Harrison's contribution to Ringo's self titled album turns to be a gem. When I was a kid, I played this song over and over and over again, admiring the arrangement and the depth of its innocence like only a kid can do. I still admire everything about this song. Makes me happy every time I hear it. Still one of my favorite songs of all time.

So glad the Grammy's had Ringo up on stage to perform this song! I had pushed it back into my mind somewhere, some time ago, but now it's been brought to the forefront of my mind since the revised performance and I can't get it out. But .. that's a good thing. It's such a great song.

Ive lost many loved ones in my 50 years but this song reminds me of my 1st friend Jamil. Half Irish half Indian. We met at 6 and 7 and we loved the Beatles. Days of endless play we were neighbors and we played with our siblings. He loved animals had exotic pets. We traveled on vacations together more than friends. Was my 1st kiss. He was handsome smart. Hard to sum him up in a paragraph. He graduated the summer of 89 and wanted to study marine biology. A motorcycle ride changes everything and he was killed a mere block from home in front of friends. This song from Ringo sums it up. Its been 30 years since i saw your face Jamil. But your always in my heart.

The friendship between Ringo and George is what I think of, when I hear this song. I once saw both of them on the old "Dick Cavett Show" where the host told George that Yoko Ono had just the week before sat in his seat. He got up out of the seat and mock-shivered. On this day in 1973 {December 23rd} Ringo Starr's covered version of "You're Sixteen" moved into the #27 position on Billboard's Top 100 chart, and the record one position lower at #28 was "Photograph" by Ringo Starr... Both records peaked at #1 on the Top 100; five weeks earlier on November 18th "Photograph" spent one week in the top spot, and four weeks later on January 20th, 1974 "You're Sixteen" would peak at #1 for one week... Between 1970 and 1981 he had fourteen records on the Top 100 chart; half of them made the Top 10 with two reaching #1 {the above two}... His seven Top 10 records charted consecutively; "It Don't Come Easy" {#4 in 1971}, "Back Off Boogaloo" {#9 in 1972}, then his two #1 records, " "Oh My My" {#5 in 1974}, "Only You" {#6 in 1975}, and finally "The No No Song" {#3 in 1975}... Ringo Starr, born Richard Starkey, will celebrate his 78th birthday come next July 7th {2018}...

When the First British person was born, he came across a Magic Lamp. He couldn't figure out how to open it so he banged it against the ground before finally opening it. A genie came out of it, but the genie was pissed. So the Genie said "I'll grant you one wish, but there is a side affect to it." The man thought for a moment, and then said "I wish to be able to sing and play music so women fall for me, along with my Ancestors." The Genie granted his wish, but in return he was cursed with Bad Teeth and Shaggy hair for the rest of his life, along with his ancestors.

Photograph" is a song by English musician Ringo Starr that was released as the lead single from his 1973 album Ringo. Starr co-wrote the song with George Harrison, his former bandmate from the Beatles. Although the two of them collaborated on other compositions, it is the only song officially credited to the pair. A signature tune for Starr as a solo artist, " Wikipedia "
