Absolutely stunning images. And the buzz you give off from your work is very welcomed. Just goes to show how the weather can answer to your feelings and change them in an instant. Richie

No need to apologize about the video. For me it clearly demonstrated what can happen at sunset & sunrise shoots. It can get really hectic & mad & the skies can suddenly kick off with amazing glory & only last 5 minutes. Time & time again that has happened to me. One thing I would like to point out here as so many people see the sun go below the horizon & pack up & go home. You should always give it anything up to 30 minutes after the sun disappears as the amazing skies ALWAYS come in that time. This also applies to sunrise. The best skies are always up to 30 minutes BEFORE sunrise time.

Hi Paul thanks for the words that really means a lot and it's great to see that this is so relatable to some. 👍🏻. Couldn't agree more with what you said about waiting until after the sunrise 🙏🏻

I had the same feeling this morning about "Not feeling it". After having no sleep (To hot!) at 4:30 I grabbed my kit and off I went (With my daughter who grabbed her camera too). Thinking we would get a great sunrise we soon found a strip of cloud covered our shot! ... after a quick flask of tea (15 minutes later) we noticed the sun peaking behind the clouds giving a great orange glow. Its amazing how things turn out! Great Video again Henry! More cracking shots! keep inspiring and roll on next Video!!!

Great video 👌 I'm a completely new to the photography game. If you're talking your shots on full manual mode, how do you calculate the ISO, aperture and shutter speed?

You take some great photos but I almost want to set you a challenge. The Lakes et al make it easy to take some stunning pictures...although it definitely takes your talent to really capture it...but can you, as a very talented landscape photographer, come down to the South East and capture the same quality of images where the landscape is more of a challenge? I think it's possible...but I would love to see what you could do

Cheers for the comment! I think I tend to spend as much time as I can in the places that inspire me and coincidentally for me it's these beautiful places. But it's valid point what you say - maybe one day!!

I've always wondered after you shoot with the last ray of light being on the top of a hill or mountain if you do not feel uncomfortable to descend alone in the dark. This sort of situations are the ones scaring me the most, in fact I tend to shoot sunsets (and sunrises) only on locations I can reach with a 10 minutes walk from the car....that said, amazing shots especially the second one. That sky, I've never seen anything like that.

Hi Maurizio, yes I try to be extra cautious but it doesn't;t really bother me so much, not after I got a good head torch too

Henry, firstly just wanted to say I have recently (last 3 weeks) bought my first ever DSLR (Nikon D7000) and am really enjoying learning how to use it. Which is how I found your amazing channel. I am located in Preston, so immediately warmed to your videos, being so close to where I live. I have probably watched 30-40 of your videos back to back over the last few days learning loads, so thank you. Anyway onto my question... you mention bracketing a lot in your videos, when the sky is a lot brighter than the foreground, but you don’t say by how much (0.3-0.7-1.0) ? Any advice would be great... off to Bassenthwaite next week, so hopefully put my new found skills (or lack of) to the test 👍

Hi there, thank you so much for the comment and really hope you’re enjoying your new camera! With regards to bracketing it’s very much individual and it depends on the scene and the photograph I am wanting to take. I always make sure that I’m not clipping my highlights or my shadows either way, I really hope that makes sense! Perhaps I should do a video on the topic ha ha

Henry Turner Thanks, I’ll look into that more, maybe make use of the histogram. I’ll no doubt look at booking a 1-2-1 with you at a later date (basic newbie beginner level), perhaps in the Silverdale area...

1:52 c'mon mate that was you doing a sheep impression, wasn't it? Some sound effects for the B-roll 😉, just kidding. Another great video Henry - thanks for your consistency, I enjoy watching your videos in the morning whilst I'm stuck in the office checking emails. 7:36 worked our nicely, colours balance well! 12:30 stunning shot too.
