terrific video Roger I thought the Owls shot in the mist was masterful.

Thanks Steve. I was initially disappointed with the Owls in the mist. I was trying to be too aggressive when processing them, and that made them very grainy. I am pleased with them now.

BTW. Mice leaks urine continuously. This reflects UV-light. Birds can see into the UV spectrum. If it rains, all UV reflecting urine is most likely washed out. It may also be that owls will have problems hearing the mice as well. I doubt that it is flight problems that grounds the owls during heavy rains.

love the first owl shot (at about 1:20) for the beautiful light and ethereal look of the picture.

Thanks Janice. Initially, I found that shot quite difficult to process.Mianly because it was shot at a high ISO, but I am pleased with how it turned out.

Another lovely and fine video Roger with some excellent stills and video footage. I’ll be waiting with fascination and interest to see the next video and hear about the workshop you attended. I actually bumped into a landscape workshop from your neck of the woods photographing locally a couple of weeks ago, I normally hope for no-one, so was rather surprised when I pitched up and there were people everywhere!

Thanks David. The workshop was with Chris Gomersall. It was not a `how to` type of workshop. More a case of `where to`. Who was the landscape photographer you bumped into ? I only know a couple from my area.

@@rogerhance5883 Hi Roger. I’d forgotten about Chris’s workshops, I know a few folks that have booked with him in the past and had thoroughly enjoyable days out with him, I believe he specialises in west Norfolk so I have no idea of where he goes, so I’ll definitely look forward to the next video, maybe I should join him one day. I can’t remember the names of the folks I spoke to but they were all from clubs in Essex and were with a pro landscape photographer running a freebie day. It might have been Justin Minns, but I’m not sure. The guy that asked if he could join me photographing the waders was a young guy from the Southend club, I’m he said he was one of the organisers, but in truth I was concentrating on shooting. Look forward to next week’s video. Speak soon. David.

Looking forward to the rest of your videos in Norfolk, and indeed from wherever. If you need tuition for bird photography, there’s no hope for the rest of us!

Thanks for the kind comment Trevor. There should be two more videos coming out from last weeks trip. I like you comment about the tutition ! 😂 It was not really so much a `tutorial`, as learning were the locations are. Thats whats invaluable.
