Nice one Darren , that sunset was a belter. Hard not to take advantage of that mate. Great little encounter with the Muntjac, only ever had a fleeting glimpse of one in The New Forest. Couldn't help but remind me of Monty Python and the Holy Grail when you donned the green headgear!!😆 Great work, keep it up 👍🏼📷

I am so NOT a sunrise person! I do love that beautiful morning sky you showed us, particularly since I am unlikely to photograph anything similar myself. Wonderful shots of the deer - great luck that he was curious about this strange encounter and came over to pose for you. Thanks for sharing your adventure!

Kathleen you disappoint me. You SHOULD be a sunrise person. It’s the best time of the day. Next time we speak I expect you to have set the alarm for 3am and to have driven to a good sunrise location............for 7-8 minutes.........then driven home again 😉 Take care and have a lovely day 👋

Wow, I'm so enjoying your deer odyssey Darren. The landscape shots in this video were though absolutely beautiful, what a treat of a dawn; mother Nature's reward for the early riser! Muntjac - from the front: a black 'V' on the face is a buck (antler or no antler) and a 'diamond' is a doe. (Invariably). Also, to move or not to move....hmmm?...9/10 times, don't. They'll sense you long before you see them; a muntjac's eyes are what, 4 maybe 6 inches off the ground, next time you're out get down to that level and see how far you can see, you'll be surprised. As stealthy as you think you are, they'll see the movement of you feet long before they see you. A lot of folk like the image of a deer/other beast standing out and fully exposed; I absolutely love images of deer (especially) only partially seen, standing in their natural surroundings - hence I really like the shots at 11:34 & 11:40. Wonderful, wonderful stuff.

Great vlog Darren. Love both the landscape and wildlife captures. I know high ISO isn't ideal but a friend recently introduced me to Topaz DeNoise AI. I downloaded the 30 day trial version and it did an amazing job of denoising and sharpening some of my old noisy wildlife images. Ni! Ni! Ni!

Lovely calming intro Darren . Loved the images. I think I have found your special guest fo the pubcast.... Lord Balaclava, Knight of the Forest , he appears in your vlog about 6:18 - he would be class on the show with his wildlife knowledge, lol. The Muntjac was beautiful and the footage is so enchanting as he comes towards the camera, then as he is laying down and looking towards you - well aware you are there for sure.. magic stuff. Atb Al

Great videos, just spent a little while watching a few, such a soothing voice you have too! I'm fairly local to you so recognise a few places. Great to see the wildlife in their habitats also rather than just the 'bird on a twig' type images - the benefit of being a landscape photographer first I guess. (I did watch the 'falling in' video too!!! LOL!)

What an amazing sunrise. I think you might be able to improve your chances of a shot of deer by scattering some birdseed in the grass where you would like to photograph them. They appreciate the high energy snacks this time of year.
