Absolutely LOVE the Sierra and Yosemite. Ive done the JMT twice and the High Sierra Trail once. Beautiful and stunning area. Planning to do the JMT again next year maybe.

OMG- Drew your photos are magnificent!!!I After being on lockdown here in LA for so many months this video made me feel like I was there with you, so refreshing! You deserve your own show on the Discovery channel - your energy, enthusiasm and personality are just outstanding! Not to mention the incredible drone videos & stills! New Big fan!!

WOW! Thank you for your glowing compliment! We've been "stuck" in Huntington Beach since lockdown started in March and are definitely feeling the stir-crazyness of it all as well. Discovery Channel would be amazing --- mostly because they'd probably send someone along who actually knows how to shoot video :) ... anyway, thanks for subscribing and for the fantastic comment. More "in the field" videos are just a week or two away, so stay tuned!

@@drewcain You are so welcome- that's awesome you are so close! I have been at NBCU since '86 as a print ad designer, directed mainly our comedy shoots, so I am always blown away when I see a photographer who knows what they are doing. (Presently doing NBC digital entertainment marketing production). You would be so great shooting with since your energy is so contagious! I had so many shoots that were so tough since the actors were not excited about doing the shoot, and I had to try to "get them into it". That's what is nice about shooting nature- no moody people/subjects to deal with -lol. I love shooting Point Lobos Natural Reserve just south of Carmel, that place can be magical, but not so much if its gloomy. Big Sur is a blast since the drive is so fun. I'm going to really enjoy seeing all your videos, they are so inspiring! Seriously, you need an agent to pitch you to Discovery, I think they have gone off the deep end with some of their shows like Moonshiners, etc. not sure how many people are interested in that, but I think your travels and photography tips would be of interest to a LOT of people! Who doesn't want to be a better photographer? You are a perfect video/ adventure host! Loving your editing video now... had no idea you can edit in Bridge!! Anyway, take care, and God Bless, you are the best!

Thanks again! I feel like I'm still in the "training wheels" phase of this whole video thing, but funny enough, you're not the first person to suggest we try and do something TV related with more reach and production value. I really do enjoy my time both out shooting and indoors processing photos and I'm really glad that resonates with people. Not sure I'm ready for anything bigger than my little channel yet, but if the right opportunity came along, I don't think I'd be able to say no :)

I think we need more "unnecessary drone clips"! Still a little disappointed we didn't see any bears!:)

Great video! Where was that picture taken of Half dome from the side of the road? I love that angle and the lighting looked amazing.

Hey Justin, thanks for watching! That pullout is called the Olmsted Point Overlook. It’s a beautiful spot and probably the best (in my opinion) from the road shots in Yosemite.

@@drewcain thanks for the quick response! I'm headed there in a few weeks, hopefully that road is still open depending on the weather conditions.

Hi Drew, that was a brilliant shot you showed us of reflection bridge, well worth the extra images you took to get it. Hope you don't mind me asking this, but, how come Katja dosen't get to say much in the vlogs? Is she shy?
@drewcain4 жыл бұрын
Thanks! And yeah, she's not exactly shy, just isn't all that interested in being on camera. She's a fantastic photographer and she's willing to model for me quite often for stills, but the video thing isn't really her jam. Maybe she'll change her mind if more people ask for it though :)

@@drewcain How can we see some of the photographs Katja takes?
@drewcain3 жыл бұрын
Tom, we shoot and show as a couple. If you visit our site (wanderborn.com) or our Instagram @wanderborn about half those images were taken by her, but without looking up the image in the archive I don’t often even know which of us was behind the camera. (although if it’s an image with people or buildings, it’s most likely one of hers because those things aren’t really my jam). She has no interest in social media so sadly there’s nowhere to view just her work on it’s own. We’ve been together for almost 27 years and at this point everything we do is “US” not “I”. Sorry for the long answer to a simple question ;) I will tell her you asked though.
@tomjodis28243 жыл бұрын
@@drewcain Appreciate the info about her and how you two work together. Nice to know it's "us" and not "I" when it comes to the work you all create.
