You amaze me my friend! Where most people go "Oh look a rabbit' and take a snapshot your passion and understanding completes your vision to make beautiful photographs. Such a lesson to be learned from watching you is to stop,appreciate and slowly capture what is there and offered. In 58 years I have never seen a hare photo come close to this so in fact you are the winner for the last 58 years. Very best to you always! Pete

First of all, welcome to the UK!!!! And second of all, bravo on the photos and I'm astonished that you got so close to it! Hares are so hard to get near especially without a hide. I especially loved your environmental shot of the hare and the later bunch of photos when you had moved yourself for the heather and cleaner background

Hi there James and thanks a lot for your comment. These hare are less shy that usual because they are used to see wildlife photographers around.
@SD_Alias5 жыл бұрын
it is so amazing, that you could get so close to that hare. Unfortunately the hares here in northern Germany are very shy and carefully because they know that there are a lot of hunters out there. Fortunately i can observe them in my Garden through the kitchen windows some times. But as soon they recognise a movement of me behind the window they run for live.... Beautiful pictures of beautiful animals…

Beautiful video, Morten! Amazing that the hare was so comfortable with your presence. I suppose you took your time to approach, and were quite respectful of its space, but I would think that the long lens looking like an eye would for sure spook the little guy. Maybe this particular hare doesn't have very good survival instincts! ;) It's inspiring to see how much you enjoy this work and appreciate nature. Great drone footage too at the end!

Get there soon as Mountain hares are being killed in their thousands in Scotland as grouse shoot gamekeepers have decided mountain hares pass ticks to grouse and therefore reduce the amount hunters can shoot dead. (there is zero evidence ticks are coming from hares, is much more likely to be passed from sheep, deer etc). It's an absolute travesty.
