I like how you say you have been looking for a good month and no owls. There have been days where I am out all day until nightfall and never find one owl... it never seems like a loss though if you can connect with Nature. Appreciate your videos.

True. It’s never really a failure if you’re enjoying yourself.

While watching this video I caught a great point that your were able to help me with on my owl hunting photography. You said under exposuring by 1 or 2 stops . That's was something I think that is really going to help me out . I'm on my 2nd owl I caught a young Juvenile owl photo. Your videos are both great and informative. Music your using is always fitting . Thanks sir .

Hey Steve,Hope you made it in time to pick up the kids! Another fun shoot by the look of it. Wish we got them out here on the coast. Lots in the interior of B.C. if you know where to look. Love your videos. Keep up the good work.Steve Large - www.larges.ca

I just don't understand how you can get so close to them. I get like 200 yards away from them and they peace out. :(
@SteveMattheis6 жыл бұрын
That happens to me a lot too. Sometimes they don't mind me being there though and that's when it gets good...

This owl is chilled af. Can´t believe you never wear camo! Outside of a national park, animals are soooo cautious and shy.

+Axel Becker great gray owls seem less skittish than most owl species

Why not wear camouflage? Great video!
@SteveMattheis7 жыл бұрын
Thanks! I don’t need it. The owls would see and hear me coming regardless of what I was wearing...
@ryanwellsdedc7 жыл бұрын
So is it only for owls you don't wear camouflage?
@oOfretlessOo7 жыл бұрын
In general camo is good only once you have found spot to sit still, because animal has seen you when you just approached forest. See how birds are seated on branches of tree. Climb on one to see how far it can see. Besides sound travels upvards slightly.

So the take away idea is not to look interested in bird, but look busy collecting berries or even leaves. This way bird will be interested in you or at least it won't find you as threat.
