Haha, love the one at 2:25. Hanoi is such a great spot for this kind of photography - some good images, considering you're a landscape photographer!

Hello Michael, what a wonderful country of culture, colours and excitement. No shortage of subject matter. Really enjoyed this. Thank you, for sharing...

Great episode, Michael! Like your calm style, it is a pleasure to watch! Very interesting street photography as well. You mastered it right, avoiding trouble is always a good idea. Crazy narrow location!! :-) Cheers, Max P.S. Your final take is wonderful.

Nice video, Hanoi is a very awesome city for street photography. I had a blast when I was there. Mach weiter so! :)

Danke dir.

Hey really like the shot you took at the end can you tell me what lens, frames/AP/ISO?
@mibreit-photo4 жыл бұрын
Hi, I think I was at around 16mm, f9,5 and the exposure was somewhere between 10 and 30 seconds. I would have to look up the details, but something in that ballpark

Flickr allows much higher quality photo uploads and the old Vietnam Street Photography group has been inactive for years, so I just created a new one at it would be great to see some of your shots on www.flickr.com/groups/vietnam-street-photography/

that last image was very nice! What language did you find most useful there with the locals?
@mibreit-photo6 жыл бұрын
In the city you will mostly get along with english. In the countryside it's a bit more tricky. We had a guide for our Mu Cang Chai tour, otherwise it would have been problematic to communicate - especially during our homestays. In Sapa english worked most of the time

@mibreit-photo6 жыл бұрын
Hi Jo. Etwas Farben, etwas Kontrast und Dodge and Burn.

If you are going to shoot street photography why are you using a telephoto lens? Complete waste of a great opportunity for some great shots. And yea sorry shooting on tracks is stupid and unsafe
@mibreit-photo4 жыл бұрын
As to your why question: I only have a wide angle and a telephoto lens. As to shooting on tracks being stupid: in general -> yes. But I'm certainly nobody who takes unecessary risks to get his photos and I had observed this tain passing a couple of times already. So I knew exactly where to stand, how wide and fast the train would be and I used a telephoto lens to keep my distance. Anyways, by now this whole section is closed because it has become to crowded and the danger was now that you would no longer find a place to stand on the side of the tracks.
@Randrob22034 жыл бұрын
@@mibreit-photo convenient excuses all around. Why not use the wide angle? As far as the tracks doesn't matter how careful you are being photographers and subjects are dying on tracks at an alarming rate because everyone thinks they are smart enough
