Enjoyed the video. And delighted to see someone mention the tip of getting in place early and have the tide drive the shorebirds up towards you. I was never quite disciplined enough to do the ghillie suit and other camouflage, but even on a sandy shore that tactic can work wonders. I'm jealous of the owl shots too. Never seem to have my longer lenses with me when I come across one (a macro lens isn't exactly ideal for birds in the distance 😀). Good luck with the trip to Scotland.

Really great stuff here, stills and video. The 100-500 is a nice lens, isn't it? The thing that blew me away is how light and easy to handle it is, compared to the 100-400 EF I had when I was still in DSLR land.

Nice to watch this video as an exiled Lancastrian birder living on the far side of the world. I keep meaning to get down in the mud to photograph waders...but my knees and back protest too much...

The bird at 21:04 is not a grey plover, it is a Red knot. I am a subscriber to your channel and I follow it with pleasure. Thank you for your efforts.

Turnstone is nice, but my favourite is the Lapwing, especially when the sun hits them
