Sheets of white foamcore board make excellent reflectors! They can be purchased at most art stores.

You look extra identical in this video because you're wearing the same eye makeup (or very similar) :) Thanks for your videos, I've learned a lot watching them.

Thank you. I did guy senior pics and even though it was 2 hours before sunset, there was still lots of sun, I was not pleased with some of the shots as they had shade clutter.

How do you chose whether to use the silver or gold side? Gold if you need more warmth, I'm assuming?

Great content for new photographer (me)! Thank you! I will take a reflector with me to my next outdoor shoot. I never thought to use it outside, and it’s brilliant to use it as a shade for the camera. Thanks, again!

What is the best way to take photos indoors on overcast days I struggle to get the photos and settings right for these shoots?
@esquared.photography3 жыл бұрын
This is a tough one! Window light always. We don’t do a lot of indoor shoots so we aren’t great at suggesting lighting for indoors.

I love your videos! Super helpful!! I’m learning a lot from your channel. Btw, question for you. I was requested to take group photos (about 60 people) under evening harsh light hours and no open shade area. Time can’t be moved to earlier or later. Would you advise me how I should take pictures in the situation and camera setting?
@esquared.photography3 жыл бұрын
Ahhh not fun! The biggest thing is to have their shadows in front of them. I would say ISO 200, F8 and a SS of 1/250+. Good luck!!!
@chuuko14093 жыл бұрын
Thank you very much for your advice!! I’ll try that. Hope I can take some workable images…

Nice video as always! For the open shade I always don’t like too much because the bouncing light is coming from below comparing to the light bounced from a wall. One other thing is we could use a fast lens if the background is too mess:)
@jasonbodden8816Ай бұрын
With *most* open shade, the light comes from multiple directions - left, right, straight ahead, and below. There's something called the shadow line (where the sunlight and shadow meet). You'll see this a lot with open shade. Bring your subject to the edge of that line, then back her up a little bit. She'll be more evenly lit but you'll have to compensate for her being a little darker as a result.

Where the sun harshly meets the shade.
