I'm in the US and have both a Nikon D750 full frame and Panasonic GX85. I reach for the GX85 nearly every time. I love just its kit lenses (12-32mm and 40-150mm). Very simple, excellent photos and weigh nearly nothing. Thanks for this video. Makes me appreciate my little gem even in 2021.

I especially enjoy you’re video essays that challenge different views on subjects that others may not dwell on. It is indeed a fun session (I'm a bit biased on this because the gx80 is the only camera I have haha) the photo of the day for me is the one taken in the bridge, it gives me that feeling of just looking at one photo the whole day, relaxing!. Thanks for adding another gx80 video Teo! 👌👊

@@teocrawford For example - My photos are usually with a sharp shadow and bold lines. Some pictures have a fine color. (When you remembered your setup advice about gx80, i did same setup like your advice. Pls help me) - I want to use 14-140mm full capacity. Could you explain how can use 14-140mm?? ... Thank you for your feedback. P.S i like your taste of your photograph.
@teocrawford3 жыл бұрын
Sharp shadows generally don't really come from the camera but instead from the lighting. If you prefer soft shadows try shooting on a cloudy day. The clouds diffuse the light and make everything soft. I don't exactly know what you mean concerning the colour, but I generally advise you to edit digital photography to adjust the colours to your liking. For example I edit my photos in Lightroom🙌🏼 And concerning the lens I don't really know what there is to explain - just use it a lot and you'll find out which features you enjoy the most :)

@tobi_cpt23393 жыл бұрын
For a blurry Background you'll need a lens with an Appature of f1.8 or lower. Personally i use the 25mm f1.7 Lens from Panasonic for my GX80 i can really recommend it if you want to shoot Portraits and it is really great for Videos. Camera Lenses can get really expensive but for a smaller Budget this lens is a deal! It goes for around 160€ on Amazon.

Teo, you may wish to consider a square format for some of your minimalistic photos. For me the square format conveys a feeling of stillness, which complements the minimalism. Worth a try and see if it works for you.

Waiting on my GX80 to arrive any day now! good to see what she can deliver! Btw, I suggest switching the GoPro to wide instead of Super view. I didn't realize how distorted the images on those things can be as I never use it for walking casually around. But when you look down or pan quickly I almost feel motion sickness for some reason. is that just me?
@teocrawford3 жыл бұрын
Ohh what, really? I have it set to Super View on purpose because Wide just isn't wide enough for me and doesn't reliably show everything I want to show🤷🏻♂️ Because I have the camera strapped to my head I can't check my frame... therefore Super View has been a great solution, because it basically has everything in frame haha😅

I like how you can basically come to peoples back yards, take pictures of their houses, cars, fences, take pictures over the fences inside their property, check out the insides of buildings through windows, etc. Great cover, man. Have you tried checking if the car or the gates are left unlocked? Imagine all the great shots you could get! Also, have you tried night photography? I bet you could get some really cool artistic shots if they forget to close the curtains.

If I might give a little constructive advice? Some of the photos might be improved by zooming with your feet - 7:37 , 8:33 , 9:27 , 10:27 , also consider a CPL filter.
@teocrawford3 жыл бұрын
Sure!🙌🏼 Interesting suggestion, however I personally prefer my subject to be rather small in the frame and I think going closer might've made the subject a bit too big🤔 But I guess that all comes down to personal taste - do you prefer your subjects to be large in frame?
@acmdv3 жыл бұрын
@@teocrawford 9:27 you have something right at the edge of the image thats a little distracting which is why stepping a bit closer would remove it. 10:27 moving to the other side of the path you could have the bin & signpost right at the edge and use the stream/river & path as leading lines away into the distance in the image. 7:37 & 8:33 a small amount of zooming would emphasise what you were talking about in each image, in the case of 8:33 it would make your intentions for the image clearer to the viewer.
@teocrawford3 жыл бұрын
@@acmdv Ahh yes at 9:27 I was debating on cutting that thing out of the photo, however as I tried that the edge of the roof on the right side was much too close to the edge for my taste. And concerning the other points - interesting hints! I like the idea to change the angle on the bin to have more of the river in there. Thank you!🤗
