I love Don Quijote. I rode da bus to shop there all the time when I stayed in Waikiki, in 2015. My cousin and I bought prepared goodies there all of the time. Loved da drindz. I never realised Don Quijote was originally a Japanese brand of food store. WE also looooved Zippy's. Seattle needs a Zippy's.

I'm on YT watching the Eddie footage from yesterday, actually. Wow, Waimea was PUMPING! That swell was INSANE. Waves were monstrous. The wipeouts were epic! The shore break was at least 6 feet high, and the avalanche of whitewater, after the waves broke was ...crazy.

Wow! Thanks for sharing! Looks very different from the cramped stores in Japan and Asia where everything is ceiling to floor merchandise. This place looks like there is tons of room. Very cool. I wonder if this is what the Guam location would look like?

Yes we noticed that Japan stores were so cramped with narrow aisles. Makes our Don Quijote look like a super store a lot nicer to shop in! Also we seem to have more food options and a full supermarket compared to Japans ones. Mahalo for watching

I’m so glad that you filmed this . We always used to go to Don Quijote and started back in the days when it was called Daiei. The prices beat any other store ( except some stuff at Costco) and for Canadians we appreciated a bit better deals for our always weak dollar . My husband is Chinese Canadian and people assumed that we were local which we loved . We were the types that tried to be more local .. took the bus everywhere and actually stayed in various rentals for two months some years . Love your videos.. miss Hawaii so much but not sure when we’ll be back . Mahalo and take care ❤🇨🇦

In 2019 we stopped by a different Oahu Don Quijote and were not impressed. This tour by you and Cheryl was encouraging, the shelves were filled and plenny stuffs fo eat. But one thing that interests me (as a tourist) is the souvenir section.

We were talking about a Korean desert place in front of Don Quijote that we hadn’t tried yet but we were saying it would be cheaper to get something from Don Quijote instead of that place out there. Mahalo for watching
