I am a u.s. citizen. I am a former marine infantry soldier. I have lived here in Hawaii for over 40 years . I can not visit this or any national park in America because I use hard earned u.s. currency for all my transactions and u s. parks do not accept u.s. currency....even though on every note it clearly says 'for all debts public and private '.

@@mikecappa1094 sorry, i hear you. My dad has the same issue. As times change everything seems to be going toward debit cards, credit cards, paypal, apple pay, and venmo. I hear your fustration. I know some business just dont like to deal with cash as it leaves opportunity for theft and some has converted to this method since Covid so there is less contact with things people touch. If credit cards are not something you want to do or cant do the other option is to go with others who are able to use their credit cards and pay them back or chip in. I hope in the futre there is a solution for you. I appreciate you and your service very much!
