Nicely demo'ed & easy to understand :) Sorting and rating is supposedly coming soon as its been heavily requested. Just to add another bonus is the sidecar files are now very small compared to before, taking just a few kb to a few mb depending on how much editing/masking you do - before the sidecars were often bigger than the actual raw! Plus the sidecar files stay wherever the raw image is not in a different location.

Thanks for the comment. Yes now that you mention it I do recall that in the previous version, sidecar files were placed in a separate directory (documents?), not in the same directory as the RAW file. An unusual implementation perhaps because it works with photos. This current implementation is more in line with how others (i.e. DXO photolab and ON1) does it though for some reason, their sidecars are still much smaller than Photomators and in text.

This is really useful thank you! I'm going to purchase Photomator shortly - I think it's an ideal alternative to the Adobe products for Mac users. I hope you make future videos, keeping track of this excellent software as its development roadmap rolls out...

In the file browser if I link a folder of photos to Photomator and then I decide I don't want to see that folder in Photomator, and delete it it also deletes from my Mac. When I restore that folder from the bin it reappears in Photomator automatically. How do I remove the link so I can remove it from Photomator without deleting it from my Mac? Many thanks. You have to remove the top folder that you added in... not the subfolder. You are going to see a "remove folder" option. If you try to remove the subfolder (not the top folder) it will say "move to trash". Hope that helps.

Their use of the word "import" suggests Photomator maintains a catalog/database, but you state around 4:45 that this is not the case. I'm puzzled by this.

As of now, according to them they do not perform cataloging (i.e. store metadata in a database). But I suppose they will in the future as they develop it further.
