jeeeez looks just as good as my l3 unfilmed... but there's a lot of artificial light going on there.. i'd be curious what pitch black no moon no artificial light looks like through that tube

I have dual WP Echos 2600 FOM each. FYI Photonis are also unfilmed. My L3 in pitch black is snowy and the photonis is also snowy but more snow. Both are pretty unusable though without supplemental light. But the L3 tubes take it. In any other lighting conditions the Photonis are a bit more "dim" but the clarity is identical. In high light pollution the photonis destroy the L3s. Think city lights.

With echo tubes I was advised that you gotta times the ebi by 10 so your ebi is 2.0

Well hell, I don't like that number nearly as much. I never knew about that. I'll tell ya, the tube does look great though. I'd be interested in seeing the difference between a 2 and .2

Sounds like a myth from someone who sells older gen3 tubes.

@@heyarno that is correct. You must multiply by 10 if comparing to l3 tubes and such. .05 EBI becomes .5. 0.2 becomes 2.0

None taken. It's my very first time using night vision and I didn't spend as much as I thought I was gonna, so I'm quite happy with the product. If I knew someone that has a NOD better than mine and I looked through it, I'm sure I'd be even more amazed.
