The good thing about qld health is that table doesn’t add in the penalty rates time and a half on Saturday double time Sunday plus all other penalties for public Holidays which can be upto 2.5x on Easter and ekka show day. Good coin!

I didn't know that ekka show day is 2.5! That's great 👍

Yes and I think Easter Saturday is 2.5 too

Hiya Yana! Thank you for in-depth content re your nursing journey. The information is super helpful. I’ll be starting my D. of Nursing with Tafe Qld and wondering if you or other students took and used your laptop on campus? Random question but wanting to get my ducks in a row x

You are very welcome Jessica! Congratulations on starting your diploma! I personally never carried my lap top to classes, but some students did. Especially when teachers were going through upcoming assessments. So students were taking notes on their laptops. But saying that, if you don't have one, it's also ok. You can take notes in your notepad or on the printed assessment template. All other information the teachers talk about in class is shown on the board using a projector and internet connection to Student Connect database.

What about military nurses ? Do they get paid more than civilian nurses ?
@yana.miller3 жыл бұрын
I've heard they do yes, same as nurses on cruise ships and rural area work. But you better check this online to be 💯 sure.

Thank you for the video, I am thinking bout studying for a diploma in nursing in Australia but in your experience Is it hard for an international student to find a job afterward?
@yana.miller2 жыл бұрын
Unfortunately I don't know what rights for work international student hold. You probably will need to clarify it with your agent. But in terms of work opportunities, it is easy to find a job as a nurse. Demand is always high.

Why these rates are so low? I watched a video 2 years ago, Registered nurse level 1.1 got $33/per hour.
