Now that everything is made of plastic, climate change is more apparent. When I was a kid, we had large aluminum venetian blinds. I used junk ones to fabricate leaf springs for model cars.

Mostly June-August 2022, which was an _absolute_ scorcher. I live not far from the Met Office...And it was _so_ dry that year you could see their staff thinking the World was coming to an end after realising that even the UK was somehow *not* getting any rain... 🏜🇬🇧😳

I've had my blinds melt, I've had plants die when I water them 3 times a day, I've had the road so hot it melts, I've had the showering 4 times a day because of sweat. I've even had all the candles in the house melt into puddles. In Australia it's just called summer.

Whenever it's too hot, I fill up the kiddie pool with water balloons. Then lounge in the pool. While my minions run around me. Dodging the balloons. As it should be. ;-P
