@@Nimafox Black cats may be harder to take photo of, but ! how pleasing it is to watch them in real life. Fur is so shining! Just stunning! Plus they look so elegant and mysterious! I have three cats, 13 yrs old mainecoon and two adopted - 6 yrs old grayish one and 9 yrs old black one. Love them all.

It's such a silly reason not to adopt a cute cat cause its black. But yeah they are more difficult to photograph, my mum has 2 black cats and I can count on my fingers how many reasonable photos I have of them, where as our previous cat was ginger and we have literally hundreds of photos of him. you also have to be more alert with black cats as they blend into the shadows so well. Sammy (mums cat) likes to sit in the doorway of the bathroom at night, scared me and my sister a lot when we where home for christmas and nearly tripped over the cat like every night. He also loves dads black office chair and blends in so well that unless his eyes are open it'd be really easy to just sit down not knowing he was there. His brother Scampi has a bit more sense but still does the standard sit at the top of the stairs thing.

My current cat is named Sophia Marie. I named her Sophia because she looks like a little princess (there's a little Disney princess named Sophia) and Marie was the middle name of my little sister who passed. I spoil Sophie rotten. Cats are great for when you're feeling down. The sound of a cat purring is one of the most relaxing sounds out there. It's also good to focus on taking care of someone else instead of focusing on yourself and how you're feeling. I have only gotten a cat on purpose a few times. Mostly the cats come to us. Usually they are abandoned and/or abused. Some kittens are rejected by their mothers or orphaned. My current cat was about 5 weeks old when her mother disappeared. I hand raised her and she helps me fight my OCD symptoms. She was originally supposed to go back to the person who had her first, but she was so spoiled that they couldn't handle her. She's now a year and a half old. I've decided to get another one. They usually come to me like she did. I wish I could get my cat to wear costumes like that

Frankenstein, Yodie, and Pepper. My rescue dogs! Frankenstein is a beagle mix who is basically a less than 15lb looking beagle but is 5 years old. Yodie is a mini dachshund mix and Pepper is a full on mini-d.
